Kritzerland is proud to announce the CD release of Stephen Sondheim's Evening Primrose.

Originaly produced for ABC Stage 67 in 1966, Evening Primrose was an original musical for written for television, with music and lyrics by Sondheim, and teleplay by James Goldman, from the short story by John Collier.

The show starred Anthony Perkins and Charmian Carr, and features some of Sondheim's most beautiful songs, as well as his terrific background score.

The orchestra is conducted by Norman Paris and the musical associate is David Shire.

This is the first commercial release of the original television soundtrack to Evening Primrose, and it is limited to 3000 copies only. Evening Primrose has always been the holy grail to Sondheim collectors, and we're thrilled to finally be able to release it.
