	Ich dachte mal, bei der Menge an Serien und Filmen, die mittlerweile bei all den Streamern laufen, könnt man die doch hier mal zusammenfassen/erwähnen, wenn einem was auffiel… man kommt ja gar nicht hinterher an Veröffentlichungen auf Spotify und co…
</p>

<p>
	Ich sach ma auf die Schnelle:
</p>

<p>
	MONARCH LEGACY OF MONSTERS - flottes Thema, das hier und da mal aufgegriffen wird und dann auch den ansonsten echt öden 0815 Suspense Score aufleben lässt. Völlig verschenkter Score zu 90 Prozent… schade
</p>

<p>
	EXPATS - sehr moody drama Score, viel Klavier, mal nen paar flirrende Streicher. Gefällt mir gut, ein paar eingängige Themen. Runde Zusammenstellung.
</p>

<p>
	Netflix’s AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER - aufs erste reinhören grosser Bombast, JNHs Score nicht unähnlich. Erstmal beindruckt, ob thematisch was hängenbleibt kann ich noch nicht sagen
</p>

<p>Hallo Soundtrack-Boarder,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>wir starten einen erneuten Versuch, die manchmal aufkommende Flut neuer Soundtrack-Veröffentlichungen ein wenig übersichtlicher zu kanalisieren.</p>
<p>In <strong>diesen</strong> Thread sollen künftig Veröffentlichungen hinein, die höchstwahrscheinlich eher ein kleineren, sehr überschaubaren Kreis von Filmmusikfreunden ansprechen. Beispiele für solche Veröffentlichungen sind in der unten angeführten Grafik (courtesy of Stefan Jania <img src="https://www.soundtrack-board.de/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="https://www.soundtrack-board.de/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"> ) angegeben.</p>
<p>Score-Veröffentlichungen von hoher oder höherer Popularität bekommen weiterhin ihre eigenen, einzelnen Threads.</p>
<p>Der Grund für <u>diesen</u> Sammelbereich liegt in der Tatsache begründet, dass zwar oft viele kleinere, obskurere Releases vorgestellt werden, es jedoch seitens der User sehr wenig bis gar kein Feedback dazu gibt. Darunter leidet die Übersichtlichkeit im "Veröffentlichungs-Unterforum". Sollte sich jedoch aus diesem Sammelthread heraus zu bestimmten Veröffentlichungen eine längere Diskussion entwickeln, werden wir Mods/Admins diese in einen separaten Thread auslagern, damit dort weiter debattiert werden kann.</p>

	La-La Land Records and Sony Pictures celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the 1995 blockbuster big-screen action/comedy BAD BOYS, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and directed by Michael Bay, with this remixed, remastered and expanded limited edition 2-CD re-issue of acclaimed composer Mark Mancina’s iconic original motion picture score.
</p>

<p>
	Mark Mancina’s (SPEED, TWISTER, TARZAN) exhilarating action score to the film SPEED established the composer as a fresh and notable musical voice, making him the perfect choice for BAD BOYS, a bold and exciting new take on the battle-tested buddy-cop/action formula. Mancina expertly harnesses superstars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s explosive comedic and dramatic chemistry, along with Director Michael Bay’s high-octane action mayhem, creating a legendary work that helped change and influence action film scoring into the 21st century and one that still serves as the musical thematic foundation of the entire BAD BOYS franchise decades later.

	La-La Land’s original 2007 single disc CD release of BAD BOYS was compromised by the only available music elements at that time, resulting in some of that release’s program in mono. Now presented in full stereo for the first time, this all-new remastered and expanded 2-CD re-issue is a major upgrade in both sonic quality and content, finally allowing Mancina’s work to shine in all its brilliance!
</p>

<p>
	Produced by Stéphane Humez and mixed and mastered by Maxime Marion from newly discovered 32-track digital masters, this deluxe presentation of BAD BOYS features the film score presentation on Disc One and Bonus Tracks on Disc Two. Limited to 3000 Units, this release’s exclusive liner notes are by writer Kaya Savas and include new interviews with composer Mark Mancina and additional composer Nick Glennie-Smith. The sharp art design is by Dan Goldwasser.

<p>
	Alhambra Records proudly presents on this CD the world premiere release of Angelo Francesco Lavagnino’s complete original score for the 1969 historical drama BEATRICE CENCI which was directed by Lucio Fulci – who later on would reach cult status through his horror movies - and had an international cast with the American actress Adrienne La Russa as Beatrice Cenci, the Italian Tomas Milian as her servant and lover Olimpio and the French actor Georges Wilson as powerful and ruthless patriarch Francesco Cenci.<br />
	Beatrice Cenci (1577-1599) had been a member of a prominent and wealthy Roman family in the late 16th century known for her tragic life story that has captivated audiences through history. Her father Francesco Cenci was a cruel tyrant who was hated by everyone including his own family, especially Beatrice whom he placed in solitary confinement for deciding to become a nun. He was even rumoured to have repeatedly raped her. Due to this abusive treatment, Beatrice persuaded two servants to help her murder Francesco. This act resulted in a highly publicized trial in which Beatrice, her stepmother and her brother were sentenced to death, provoking widespread sympathy among the Roman populace.<br />
	In 1969 Fulci´s picture was already the fourth film version of this famous story and in contrast to the previous adaptations he follows the historical events of Beatrice´s life very closely, but uses a quite unconventional non-linear storyline. With the help of some stylish camera work, lush sets and costumes he quite convincingly evokes the harsh 16th century setting and mercilessly attacks the abuse of power as well as the corruption of the Catholic Church.<br />
	As the singer-songwriter and actor Silvano Spadaccino also received an official credit as co-composer in the film´s main title, till now there has always been some confusion as to who wrote what for this movie. However, Spadaccino and his folk group I Cantastorie were only responsible for the a cappella consolation chants – based on Italian folk songs of the medieval period – which are heard during the film´s prison scenes and for a few tavern songs. Nothing of this music can be heard on our CD as the tapes which we have had at our disposal contain only Lavagnino´s own music. It consists of  all the instrumental tracks in the film and of two religious a cappella choir cues (In the Garden/The Pope`s Room).<br />
	Lavagnino has written a rather intimate score for a medium-sized orchestra which for the most part is an elegy for the tragic fate of the heroine Beatrice Cenci. The beautiful plaintive main theme with its slight Renaissance flavour – due to the use of typical instruments of the period like lute and harpsichord – immediately grabs the attention of the listener and makes it clear where the sympathies of the composer lie. The musical highlight of the score certainly are the torture scenes for which Lavagnino reserved his most extensive symphonic elaboration of the Beatrice Cenci tune interweaved with an even sadder theme with his characteristic use of the high strings and the solo viola.<br />
	On the other hand, all the musical sequences involving the patriarch Francesco Cenci are infused with a doom-laden brooding bass motif of four notes which seems to suffocate everything just as the cruel tyrant humiliates everyone around him. Besides, Lavagnino has written an agitated musical hunt which resembleses a devilish dance (On the Run) and some festive brass music for the arrival of the Cardinal Lanciani at the Cenci fortress (The Cardinal Arrives).<br />
	This wonderful CD project – the 18th CD in our Lavagnino series – has only been possible thanks to the generous support of the three daughters of the composer – Bianca, Iudica and Alessandra Lavagnino -, who still had open reel tape copies of the original master tapes in their personal archive which we were allowed to use. Our CD edition which contains a 16-page booklet with extensive liner notes and numerous colour stills from the two movies is limited to 400 copies.

	The CD is now in stock at Alhambra and can be pre-ordered at SAE and at the other European dealers during the next few days.

																		<p>
																			Das dreizehnte CD-Album in unserer Alhambra-Serie mit Werken des berühmten italienischen Komponisten Angelo Francesco Lavagnino päsentiert die Musiken zu zwei völlig in Vergessenheit geratenen und hier in Deutschland nie gezeigten Filmen. CALYPSO aus dem Jahr 1958 steht in der Tradition der in Italien damals beliebten exotischen Dokumentarfilme und verbindet ganz im Stil des zuvor entstandenen populären L´ULTIMO PARADISO den dokumentarischen Expeditionsbericht über die malerischen Inseln der Antillen mit einer fiktiven Liebesgeschichte zwischen einem Mischlingsmädchen und einem schwarzen Arbeiter und Sänger. Lavagnino hat dafür einen stark folkloristisch geprägten Score geschrieben, der mit ganz besonderem Charme die Calypso-Rhythmen der Antillen in reizvollen und mitreißenden Tänzen verarbeitet, aber auch mit zauberhaften elegischen und romantischen Klängen die Liebesgeschichte sowie diverse Nebenstränge des Films untermalt. Die erfreulicherweise sogar in Stereo vorliegenden Original-Bänder von CALYPSO, die hier zu Gehör kommen, stammen aus dem Nachlass des Komponisten und wurden uns freundlicherweise von dessen Töchtern zur Verfügung gestellt.
																		</p>

																		<p>
																			Als Bonus enthält unsere CD außerdem die bisher nur auf einer unglaublich raren italienischen 10” LP verfügbare 20-minütige dreisätzige “Rapsodia Italiana”, die für den von Walt Disney produzierten und mit neun Kameras aufgenommenen kurzen Dokumentarfilm ITALIA ´61 IN CIRCARAMA komponiert worden war, der auf der Weltausstellung in Turin von Mai bis Oktober 1961 sogar täglich gezeigt wurde, um das damals ganz neue Circarama-Verfahren zu promoten. Dieses Werk zeigt den Sinfoniker Lavagnino von seiner besten Seite, denn es handelt sich hierbei um eine üppig schwelgerische und kraftvoll-dramatische sinfonische Dichtung für großes Orchester, die die touristischen Sehenswürdigkeiten Italiens äußerst plastisch vor dem geistigen Auge des Hörers musikalisch vorbeiziehen läßt.

	Und noch eine schöne unerwartete Veröffentlichung von Universal Music France, leider halt auch wieder nur digital. Was kein Sammler bislang wußte: Delerue hatte für Francois Truffauts berühmtes Meisterwerk DIE SÜSSE HAUT (LA PEAU DOUCE) an 1964 sogar 9 Tracks für eine geplante rund 23-minütige LP zusammengestellt - in Stereo. Offiziell veröffentlicht wurde damals hingegen nur eine Philips-EP mit 4 Tracks, die es dann auch mehr als 35 Jahre später auf den einen oder anderen Delerue-CD-Sampler schafften. Mehr gab es seither vom gesamten Score nicht zu hören, zumal der eher sparsam vertonte Film sogar noch etwas weniger Musik haben dürfte und Truffaut nicht alles davon verwendete.<br />
	Lerouge schreibt zum (wohl im Delerue-Archiv) wiederaufgefundenen LP-Album dies:<br />
	<span>"In the spring of 1964, Georges Delerue mixed the soundtrack of La Peau douce in stereo... for a 33 rpm record that was never released. Sixty-two years later, justice has been served: between sad lyricism and a nod to Bernard Herrmann, this major score from the Truffaut-Delerue collaboration is finally available, for the first time in its entirety."</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span>Eine CD von diesem absoluten Klassiker der französischen Filmmusik dürfte von Universal kaum mehr zu erwarten sein, dafür gibt es das komplette Album nun bereits auf Youtube:</span>

	Zur wirklich grandiosen, bitterbösen, absurden SF Komödie von Gore Verbinski gibts leider einen nur recht faden Score von Geoff Zanelli... sagen wir mal die Musik war funktional im Film und tat was sie tun sollte... is hier und da auch mal für nen Lacher gut, im Großen und Ganzen aber wirkt sie skurilerweise uninspiriert (und handwerklich auch wenig gekonnt...aber naja, was erwartet man von Zanelli?)... vielleicht wär eine verrückte Musik auch letztlich zuviel für den eh schon überbordenden Film gewesen und eine unauffällige 0815 Musik war ggfs doch das Richtige... egal... der Film macht unglaublich viel Spaß und legt die Meßlatte für das Jahr 2026 schon jetzt sehr hoch... wer den Score gerne getrennt von den Bildern hören will, nun denn:

	MMS25028 <strong>THE OVAL PORTRAIT</strong> (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Music Composed by ANDREW MORGAN SMITH</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Release date: October 10, 2025</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Original score from the 2025 thriller feature film directed by Adrian Langley, starring Simon Phillips, Louisa Capulet and Paul Thomas, produced by Grimehouse and released by Blue Fox Entertainment (USA).
</p>

<p>
	THE STORY: A thief, artist, and shopkeeper are pulled into the orbit of a haunted portrait connected to a vengeful ghost.
</p>

<p>
	THE SCORE: <em>“When Adrian Langley approached me to score The Oval Portrait the task seemed daunting: “What if a Waxman, Korngold, or Bernstein scored this movie? Bring these old sensibilities back to sell that we’re making a throwback film.” The one thing I did know, if one director was deadly serious about intention and style it’ll be Adrian Langley. What followed was truly an amazing compositional experience. Afterall it’s not every day that you’re asked to make music of this scope and style. Truly letting loose and exploring this genre of music that we so rarely get to play with was a pleasure. Thankfully, Langley prioritized using live musicians on this score. Knowing the style we were going for, we both knew that we had to record it with real musicians. All the imperfections that come with working with live players helps to sell the style and genre of the movie. The whole team loved working on this score, Andrew Osano the orchestrator did a superb job realizing the vision of the score. Robin Birner did an equally amazing job on the score mix as well as the album master. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into old school film music as much as we did creating it.</em>” – Andrew Morgan Smith

	Ist ein toller Score geworden. Bisher nur im Film gehört und noch nicht in das Album. Mal schauen, wie die Musik da wirkt.

<p>
	Caldera Records proudly presents John Cameron’s score for the TV movie “Witness for the Prosecution.”
</p>

<p>
	What makes a good Agatha Christie story? Above all, a clever twist that feels natural, even necessary, to the plot, and one of her cleverest denouements appears in one of her most popular works, “Witness for the Prosecution.” An elderly solicitor, Sir Wilfred (here played by Ralph Richardson), is visited by a young client, Leonard Vole (Beau Bridges), who is accused of having killed a middle-aged woman by the name of French. It is revealed that Mrs. French had left her estate to Leonard, giving him, who is nearly destitute, ample reason to do away with her. But he insists on his innocence. He even claims to have a fireproof alibi: his wife, Christine Vole (played by Diana Rigg) was with him when the murder was supposed to have occurred.
</p>

<p>
	Sir Wilfred is eager to throw himself into work. For him, it is an open-and-shut case. He calls on Christine, only to find that she hates her husband and does not doubt that he is indeed responsible for the poor woman’s death. Christine says she wasn’t with Leonard at the time of the murder and intends to appear in court as a witness for the prosecution. She has a few more surprises up her sleeve, though…
</p>

<p>
	Agatha Christie’s works were at one of the peaks of their popularity when the TV movie was produced in 1982. Hallmark Television was eager to get a piece of the pie. How eager? After only a brief pre-production period the television film was shot in merely three weeks because Hallmark was desperate to premiere the film before Christmas 1982. Everything was done in a frenzy, including composing, orchestrating, and recording the score. John Cameron remembers the frantic schedule without having been bothered by it — as a film composer he was used to tight deadlines.
</p>

<p>
	John Cameron decided to fuse ‘A Wandering Minstrel’ from “The Mikado” with his original composition, so in the film Gilbert and Sullivan’s music segues into ‘The Body in the Study’, before the melody then sneaks its way into subsequent cues. Cameron also developed several variations on the tune to make it sound more mysterious. Still, there is more the soundtrack has to offer. For Sir Wilfred, Cameron developed a strong theme that is both pompous and cheeky – ‘Elgarian’, as the composer describes it, invoking the master behind the “Enigma Variations.” Rather than make fun of the character, with its pastoral aspect the music underscores his gentle nature. By using the cimbalom for Christine Vole’s character, Cameron nudged the audience to think that Christine is ‘a little dangerous’, that she is playing a duplicitous game, only to then surprise the viewer at the end.
</p>

<p>
	Caldera Records are pleased to make available John Cameron’s score for “Witness for the Prosecution” and thus complete the duo of his Agatha Christie adaptations. Unfortunately, the music only survived in mono on DAT cassettes. We have done our best to clean up the recording.

<p>
	Intrada announces a new compilation of music by Dimitri Tiomkin, featuring his dance music and early film work. A citizen of the world, Tiomkin was born in Ukraine, educated in Russia, triumphed in Berlin and Paris before coming to New York. "The transition from the concert halls of the Big Apple to the studios of Hollywood was an incremental one, but in retrospect it seems inevitable. Where else could such a generous, bighearted, all-encompassing spirit find a home for his music than on the world stage of cinema?" say liner note writers Warren Sherk and Frank K. DeWald.
</p>

<p>
	This is the third volume in a series of recordings produced by Patrick K. Russ. Prior releases include The Great American Ballet and Paris Under the Stars. It is Russ' singular vision that pulls together seemingly disparate works separated by 1000s of miles into a brilliant compilation showcasing the breadth and diverse passion of Tiomkin. Both the Fashion and Swan Ballets appear here along with selections from numerous other films and works including Mexique, Lost Horizon and The Great Waltz, It's a Wonderful Life; and the program concludes with a jazz-noir excerpt from D.O.A. All performed brilliantly by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

	Was ja auffällt, Varèse hat jetzt in ziemlich kurzer Zeit drei wunderbare Klassiker von Dave Grusin veröffentlicht, die Großtat einer Veröffentlichung seines großorchestralen Meisterwerks <em><strong>Die Goonies </strong></em>vor etwas längerer Zeit mal nicht mitgerechnet. Die Klassiker sind <em><strong>The Yakuza</strong></em>, <em><strong>The Electric Horseman</strong></em> und <em><strong>On Golden Pond</strong></em>. All dies sind technisch gesehen keine Meilensteinveröffentlichungen, da Varèse ja auf Vorhandenes zurückgreifen konnte. <em><strong>The Yakuza </strong></em>ist ein leicht verändertes Re-Release von der FSM Edition, ist also sicherlich eine wunderbare Ausgabe dieses hochinteressanten Scores. Die anderen beiden sind dagegen LP-Album-Re-Releases, eins zu eins von den LP Album Mastern gezogen (inklusive der - mich dann doch störenden - Dialog-Snippets bei <strong><em>On Golden Pond</em></strong>). In heutiger Zeit ist das natürlich nicht mehr die Präsentation einer Filmmusik, die man sich wünscht -  das ist Vergangenheit, obwohl als Höralbum der <em><strong>Horseman</strong></em> nicht schlecht ist. Meine Frage ist eigentlich nur, warum hat Varèse diese zwei Score auf diese Art veröffentlicht? Waren die einfach zu "faul" für eine tolle neue komplette Edition? (Macht ja viel Arbeit im Gegensatz zu schlichten Re-Releases.) Haben sie die Rechte/Lizenzen nicht erhalten, oder waren die einfach zu teuer? Oder ist das Quellenmaterial (Session Masterbänder oder ähnliches) verschollen/nicht mehr erhältlich? Oder ist im Grunde die (fast) komplette Musik auf den ursprünglichen Veröffentlichungen gut wiedergegeben?<br />
	Wisst ihr sonst noch von irgendwelchen Dave Grusin Veröffentlichungen bei Varèse in der Vergangenheit?

	Die Serie lief kürzlich auf Disney+. Nicht überragend, aber ganz ordentlich finde ich. Die Musik ist mir positiv aufgefallen, weshalb ich danach mal gesucht hatte. Antony Partos war mir bis dato kein Begriff. In Australien ist er offenbar eine große Nummer (oder sogar die Nummer?).
</p>

<p>
	Jedenfalls kann man den Score zur Serie auf seiner Website anhören: <a href="https://www.antonypartos.com/antony-work-the-artful-dodger" rel="external">https://www.antonypartos.com/antony-work-the-artful-dodger</a>
</p>

<p>
	Leider nur in eher bescheidener Qualität im Format MP3 mit 128kbits. Ich hatte das Tonstudio daraufhin mal angeschrieben. Es ist wohl ein Release geplant, allerdings ist das mit Disney wohl alles nicht so einfach und kann sich lange ziehen. Ich hoffe, da kommt noch was.
</p>

<p>
	Vielleicht interessiert es hier ja die eine oder den anderen. Ansonsten einfach weitergehen. <img alt=";)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://www.soundtrack-board.de/uploads/emoticons/default_wink.png" srcset="https://www.soundtrack-board.de/uploads/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" title=";)" width="20" />

	Da der finale Titel von Paul Thomas Andersons neuem Film nun seit einigen Tagen feststeht, hier mal der Thread zum Score.
</p>

<p>
	Wird wahrscheinlich - ähnlich wie zu THE MASTER - eine Score/Song-Compilation geben, da der Film in den 50ern angesiedelt ist, und demnach wohl auch Einiges an zeitgenössischer populärer Musik im Film zu hören sein wird.

			Finally, an important void in Guido &amp; Maurizio De Angelis' discography is filled. After nearly 40 years since its theatrical release, one of the most long-awaited scores for the fans of the two Roman musicians is now available!<br>
			Directed in 1982 by Michele Lupo and starring Bud Spencer and Jerry Calà, the movie tells the story of an ex-pugilist who is given the chance to amend an old wrong he suffered while supporting the cause of a young athlete's gym.<br><br>
			For this soundtrack, the two Maestros build a score based on the theme ''Fantasy,'' a very popular cue held dear by generations of cartoons lovers since this melody is also the Italian main title of Galaxy, the famous cartoon that follows the adventures of two heroes onboard a space train. Another theme is the Italian answer to the Philadelphia Rocky fanfares composed by Bill Conti few years before, a cue that keeps an epic and sporty tone but more in line with the comedy aura of that movie. Also present are other cues synchronized with the movie's key scene, as variants of the two main themes or as alternate solutions.<br><br>
			The CD is presented as a deluxe edition in the DDJ DLX series, mastered from the original elements which gave life to more than 50 minutes of music, remastered by Enrico De Gemini and arranged in film sequence with the addition of some bonus tracks and outtakes. Includes a full-color, 12-page booklet with liner notes by Daniele De Gemini and original artwork painted by Renato Casaro, kindly granted by the artists.<br>
			The CD will be presented during the 24th anniversary of Music Day Roma in the presence of the artists and other guests on May 5th, 2019, a chance for attendees to grab one of the first copies before the actual release date of May 9th.<br><br>
