  1. Was erstaunlich unblöde aussieht - der "The Flash"-Trailer.
  2. Gustavo Santaolallas Serien Soundtrack zu "The Last of Us" wird demnächst von Sony Music veröffentlicht.
  3. Music by Harry Manfredini RETAIL PRICE: $16.98 La-La Land Records presents an all-new restored, remixed, remastered and expanded “ULTIMATE” stereo presentation of renowned composer Harry Manfredini’s original motion picture score to the 1981 feature film FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2, starring Amy Steel and directed by Steve Miner. In 2021, the discovery of original FRIDAY score elements culminated in La-La Land’s “Ultimate” restoration of the first film’s music. Now the label follows that acclaimed release with FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2: THE ULTIMATE CUT, the newly restored, remixed and expanded presentation of composer Harry Manfredini’s (F13 PARTS 1,2,3,4,5,6, 9, 10, HOUSE, DEEPSTAR SIX), iconic score to the famed horror franchise’s first sequel. Engineer Jerry Lambert, under supervision of Manfredini, has again restored and remixed the music with results nothing short of astounding! The score is richer, bolder and as unstoppable as Jason himself! Included in this deluxe assembly is music NEVER-before-heard-or-released! Produced by Dan Goldwasser and Brian Satterwhite, mixed by Jerry Lambert, and mastered by James Nelson, this special CD release features exclusive liner notes by Satterwhite that provide a detailed track-by-track breakdown along with an in-depth examination of the release’s restoration and remix process. The art direction is by Goldwasser and the original cover art is by Scott Saslow. A must-have for all FRIDAY fans and film score enthusiasts! TRACK LISTING: 1. The Dream 5:36 2. 4. LLLCD 1614 Music by John Barry Limited Edition of 3000 Units RETAIL PRICE: $21.98 La-La Land Records, StudioCanal and Sony Classical celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the 1992 big-screen biographical drama CHAPLIN with a newly remastered, deluxe presentation of the film’s original motion picture score by legendary composer John Barry. Barry’s notable and elegant orchestral score, considered one of late composer’s last great works for the cinema, is an integral part of this creative and thoughtful chronicling of the career of the great Charlie Chaplin starring Robert Downey, Jr. and directed by Richard Attenborough. Romantic, dramatic, comedic and more, Barry’s diverse and thematically rich original score, recorded at Abbey Road with the English Chamber Orchestra, also interpolates a number of Chaplin’s own music compositions such as “Smile” and his scores to CITY LIGHTS and LIMELIGHT. Produced by Neil S. Bulk and mastered by Doug Schwartz, this special limited edition CD presentation is expanded with previously unreleased material and includes exclusive liner notes by journalist/author Jon Burlingame. This release is limited to 3000 units and features art design by Scott Saslow. TRACK LISTING: 1. Chaplin-Main Theme 3:08 2. Hannah’s Hope† / Workhouse Chase / Mudflats 3:00 3. To The Asylum :57 4. 5. Quartet Records, Geffen Records and Paramount Pictures present the premiere release of the complete score by Harold Faltermeyer (BEVERLY HILLS COP, TOP GUN, FLETCH, TANGO AND CASH) for Douglas Day Stewart’s 1984 sexual, romantic drama-thriller THIEF OF HEARTS, starring Steven Bauer, Barbara Williams and John Getz. The film is about a woman trapped in a boring marriage who begins an affair with a handsome man who seems able to read her mind. She doesn’t know that he has broken into her house and read her diaries, in which she has recorded her deepest thoughts and fantasies. Harold Faltermeyer provided an intense, romantic and suspenseful electronic score, varied and rhythmic. The composer also wrote and produced several pop songs for the film, and arranged the original song “Thief of Hearts,” composed by Giorgio Moroder and performed by Melissa Manchester, which was a huge hit in its single version. The popular THIEF OF HEARTS soundtrack album was released by MCA on LP and CD and reissued several times over the years, although in its 40-minute length it included only the five songs and five score cues specifically arranged for the album. This limited 2-CD edition from Quartet Records includes, for the first time, the complete score composed and recorded by Faltermeyer for the film, and also the remastered MCA album, unused cues, demos, and alternate versions of both score and songs. A treat for all fans of 80s synth sound! Meticulously produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by Doug Schwartz, the 20-page full color package includes in-depth liner notes by film music writer Daniel Schweiger. DISC 1. 6. The Great Wide Open (Reprise)"). Orchestriert von Conrad Pope!
Interview: https://filmmusicinstitute.com/interview-with-colin-stetson-3/
  13. Mimic (1997) was the second film of master filmmaker, Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pacific Rim, The Shape of Water), and his first with an American studio. A modern-day horror classic, it tells the story, in del Toro’s inimitable style, of a “bug hunt” for mutated cockroaches (capable of mimicking humans) infesting New York’s undergrounds. Scoring Mimic was Marco Beltrami, who had recently made a splash with Scream and was beginning his long (and ongoing) career as a go-to composer for everything from blockbusters to upscale horror, sci-fi and thriller films, to prestigious Academy Award winners. Mimic displays the hallmarks of Beltrami’s popular style: bold, pulse-pounding action; eerie suspense and scares; and—most importantly—a sensitivity to human emotion. All of this is carefully and immaculately produced in a symphonic-electronic package that calls upon elevated, avant garde orchestral traditions while remaining accessible to modern audiences. Mimic was last available within Varèse Sarabande’s 2016 12CD set, Little Box of Horrors. For this new release, the 34-track Deluxe Edition has been newly assembled and remastered from first-generation sources, and the score packaged with new cover art and liner notes by Randall D. Larson. Limited to 1000 copies. 14. No composer was better suited to score a picture than Jerry Goldsmith with L.A. Confidential (1997), director Curtis Hanson’s masterpiece of the James Elroy novel about corruption in 1950s Los Angeles. Not only was a Goldsmith a master of the thriller and crime genres, but his own career started in the era depicted in the film, and he had scored the all-time great detective noir, Chinatown. L.A. Confidential starred Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce and Kevin Spacey as police detectives, with Kim Basinger as a Veronica Lake-lookalike prostitute, in a labyrinthine but brilliantly constructed plot connecting city hall and the cops, organized crime, Hollywood tabloids and the gutter. The film received nine Oscar nominations—including for Goldsmith’s score—and won two, for Basinger and Best Adapted Screenplay. It was heralded as an instant classic and, 25 years later, is every bit as captivating. Goldsmith’s score combines a modern pulse, pace and suspense with period idioms—notably a bluesy trumpet theme, performed by Malcolm McNab, which to Goldsmith represented masculinity. The score distills the 1950s atmosphere of smoke and seediness, as well as a certain bygone era of honor and justice, while making the film ingeniously slick and contemporary—and, as always for Goldsmith, emotional. L.A. Confidential’s score album was released by Varèse Sarabande after the film in 1997. This Deluxe Edition features two programs on one disc: 28 tracks, running 45 minutes, representing the cues heard in the film, followed by the original 11-track, 30-minute score album. New liner notes are by Tim Greiving. Limited to 2000 copies.
