Long awaited new edition of a true classic by John Barry and one of his most influential works in the sixties.

Previously released on CD by Ryko in 1998 and out-of-print for many years, our edition has been mastered with a very improved sound based on a new and fresh transfer from the original stereo tape. Deluxe booklet includes 24 pages with lots of stills and new liner notes by Geoff Leonard and Pete Walker.

World Premiere Release of John Addison's masterfull suspense/comedy score for the 1984 film directed by Anthony Harvey ("The Lion in Winter"), starring Katherine Hepburn and Nick Nolte. The score builds upon several memorable melodies, including a nostalgic waltz for Hepburn's old dame character, a more contemporany jazzy theme for the Nolte killer role, and more subdued motives for the notions of crime and family. Lovely and macabre score too!!

Mastered from the original stereo tapes vaulted at MGM in mint conditions. This release includes a 12-page booklet with liner notes by Gergely Hubai.
