World premiere release of original soundtrack from taut William Graham dramatization of events surrounding 1972 Black September kidnapping of Israeli Olympic atheletes, subsequent rescue efforts by Israeli comando team refusing to negotiate. Laurence Rosenthal, who frequently works with Graham on numerous TV films, uses modest but still powerful orchestra to underline tense activities, dramatic scenarios unfolding onscreen. Rosenthal spotlights complex percussion section (rototoms, snares, bongos, vibraphone, scraped tam tam, other sounds), focuses on suspense, action inherent in gripping story. Score is just over half an hour, Intrada presents it complete from only known surviving set of 1/4" session tapes mixed in mono as per the film and preserved by Rosenthal immediately following actual recording sessions. cd ist in D schon raus.
hier gibts hörproben:

den franzosenpart find ich entsetzlich. das liegt halt am musikstil und der instrumentierung. kann ich überhaupt nix mit anfangen. die musik ist bestimmt schwungvoll und kompositorisch "wasserdicht", aber unterhaltsam find ich den score deshalb noch lange nicht. ich höre ja gerne leicht verspielt-hektische musik, da ich dann in gedanken immer das orchester mitdirigiere. aber nicht mal das schafft dieser score. und die anderen gründe hab ich oben genannt.
Hey Lars, ich kann gut nachvollziehen, was du meinst. Beim ersten mal nebenbei gehört, wars okay, aber dann mal intensiv durchgehört und mir ging das "Französische" auch sehr auf die nerven und schlussendlich ist auch nichts vom Score "hängen geblieben". Handwerklich top, mich hats nur nicht erreicht.
War Horse, dagegen mehr. Wobei hier der "Drama-Williams" sich selbst schon sehr recycelt, aber einfach eher was für mich...

HOME ALONE 2 ist doch eine absolute Perle! Den muß man im Regal haben!
Wobei der zweite, also Home Alone 2, schon der schwächere ist. Der erste ist wesentlich flotter und abwechslungsreicher. ich hoffe nicht, dass der JETZT schon aufgelegt wird. was "neues" wäre einfach toll!

Au weia, so hab ich ihn echt noch nie gehört... seine Stimme klingt auch ganz anders als sonst. Klingt teils fast so, als könne er seine eigene Sprache nicht mehr, klingt irgendwie nach Akzent. Was ist mit dem denn passiert? Anscheinend hat er wirklich zu viel gehabt...
Meine Güte, erstes Video, 3:07 - 3:10... was in Gottes Namen?
vielleicht noch "rest erscheinungen" von seinem unfall 2006 (oder war das 2007)?

Ich hätte sowieso viel lieber COLLATERAL oder FALLING DOWN: FLATLINERS ist ziemlich lahm. Außer nem sehr coolen Main Title hat der Score nicht wirklich viel zu bieten.
Ich hoffe inständig das dann ENDLICH mal eine Michael Kamen Veröffentlichung unter den Titeln sein wird, auch wenns "nur" DIE HARD ist (ich hätte eigentlich lieber was von ihm das noch nie, oder noch nie erweitert, rausgebracht wurde: LAST BOY SCOUT, DIE HARD 3, EVENT HORIZON).
Also mir sind "neue" scores irgendwie lieber, als die sachen mit "mehr" musik. "die hard" z.b.: gäähhhnnn. Gabs doch schon. "JAAA" auch wenn was fehlen mag, aber da würde ich scores, die noch NIE das licht der welt erblickt haben, doch echt vorziehen:)

Na aber wieso geben sie denn ein festes Datum raus?
Man kann ja nun die CD ab 15.11. nicht mehr bestellten bei Intrada. Was passiert dann mit den übrigen Exemplaren?
Kaufmännisch gesehen müssen sie ja bis zum 15.11. einen verkauf garantieren. Wenn du also am 14. 11. noch 300 bestellst, müsste das machbar sein. Ich glaube eher das die "Restbestände" quasi als Puffer für Zulieferer eingesetzt werden. Also intrada sagt SAE/ etc. "hey wir haben noch 1000 Stück" und SAE sagt "Cool, 300 nehm ich".... Das wäre recht logisch. Denn die werden den Teufel tun und 1000 Exemplare im Schrank liegen lassen bis man sie "irgendwann" mal verkauft. Intrada hat dafür auch Geld bezahlt und lagern/horten kostet!
Wie genau nun Intrada das intern regelt, werden wir wohl nie wissen. Aber mal ehrlich: How cares? Ansagen werden gemacht und entweder man kauft oder nicht. Ganz einfach:)
