Sooo schlecht ist Avatar auch nicht. Horner lässt zwar jedem Klischee freien Lauf und einfallsreich oder hochkomplex ist die Partitur sicherlich nicht geworden, aber es ist alles in allem eine runde, effektive Filmmusik, die im Film ihren Zweck erfüllt, auf CD anhörbar ist und ein paar angenehme Momente besitzt.
Keiner hat gesagt, dass die schlecht ist. Ich meinte nur, sie ist sehr überbewertet.

MR: FOX ist einer von Desplats schwächsten Werken..komische Auswahl.
UP find ich ehrlich gesagt etwas überbewertet. Das Thema hatte schon Broughton in Eloise verwurstet - basieren beide auf nen song...
Horner hätts nicht verdient, aber freuen würds mich sehr:)

Die Musik von The Hurt Locker von Beltrami hab ich leider noch nicht gehört.
Aber es ist echt überraschend, dass auf der Liste nur Big-Names dabei sind!!

Naja, auf jedem Fall darf man sich schon auf eine neue Danny Elfman Score (und CD!) freuen!

Irgendwie finde ich das Ganze unmöglich... und ob die Musik gut wird weiß ich auch nicht.
Der Name Conrad Pope sag mir gar nichts, und ich glaub auch nicht, dass Elfman noch bock drauf hat... (und ob es ihm gefällt, dass C.Pope seine Musik "zu Ende" scheibt?)
Der Kinotermin wurde schon mehrmals verschoben, Komponist geändert und wieder geändert... das kann nicht so gut werden.
Ich hoffe ich bin falsch...

Following the latest twist in what has to be one of the most unusual chain of events in the film music business lately, Joe Johnstons upcoming horror film The Wolfman will now feature original music by Danny Elfman, who was the original composer on the film but had his score for the film rejected in November. Universal Pictures has confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that Elfmans music is back in the picture, and it appears that Paul Haslinger, the replacement composer is not working on the film.
The replacement of Elfmans, reportedly, old-fashioned orchestral score with music by ex Tangerine Dream-member Haslinger, who is best known for his electronic scores, was heavily debated in the film music community. The fact that Elfmans score is back in the film, and the back-and-forth process of the films musical approach, implies that the filmmakers have had a difficult time to decide in what direction to take the film. It is scheduled to premiere on February 12. According to Cinemusic.net, additional composers (including Conrad Pope) has been brought in to finish the score in time Elfman himself is unable to work on the film again due to his current work on Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland.

Vorsicht mit dem Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Ich weiß nicht ob die Erzählung stimmt, aber als wir vor paar Jahren in Karlsruhe bei "Last Night of the Proms" mit dem Royal Philharmonic Orchestra waren schnappte ich ein Gespräch einiger (anscheinend kundiger) Engländer auf, die meinten dies sei nicht "das richtige" RPO bzw. nicht DAS Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, welches laut denen zu jener Zeit in London weilte konzertant während das Royal Philharmonic Orchestra mit "Last Night of the Proms" auf Deutschlandtournee war. Anscheinend -laut denen-. bestünde das Royal Philharmonic Orchestra aus mehreren Orchesterensemble, die alle unter dem Namen Royal Philharmonic Orchestra fungierten und mit unterschiedlichen Programmen auftreten würden, wobei die A-Truppe, also DAS Royal Philharmonic Orchestra immer in London England bliebe. Keine Ahnung ob diese Story den Tatsachen entspricht, dachte nur ist vielleicht interessant zu wissen. Vielleicht ist ja was dran und man meinte man erlebe DAS Royal Philharmonic Orchestra endlich mal selbt live und hat in Wirklichkeit vielleicht nur die B-Truppe oder C-Truppe von denen?
Solange die cool spielen ist es eigentlich ziemlich egal!

Doch "Drag me to Hell" hätte den Gold-Buben auf jeden Fall verdient. "Creation" vielleicht. Young führte 2009 die Königsklasse der Hollywoodkomponisten an, was Kreativität angeht.
Die Musik finde ich auch klasse! Aber den Film kenne ich nicht...
Funkionert die Musik auch so toll im Film? Weil ich glaub, es hängt sehr doll davon ab, ob die gewinnen könnte oder nicht...

Auf einen Newcomer habe ich nicht so viele Hoffnungen..., aber seien wir bitte ehrlich: dieses Jahr gab´s wirklich keine Filmmusik, wo man sagen könnte :Pua! Der hat´s sich aber verdient!"... oder?

Bei Soundtrack Cologne (SoundTrack_Cologne | Willkommen) gibt´s das auch. Du bekommst einen Kurzfilm und dann hast du ein paar Monate um Musik dazu zu komponieren und zu produzieren.
Ich muss nur leider sehr ehrlich sagen, das was die Jury immer als Gewinner nennt ist jedes Jahr sehr enttäuschend! Alles was experimentell, spielfreudig, alternativ, neu und frisfch... das alles lassen sie weg, sie nehmen nur Musik, die nach Hollywood klingt :-S

Ich hab ihn auf englisch gesehen, und ich sehe schon, dass das die richtige Entscheidung war!
Der Film ist klasse, das aber mit der Synchronisation hat nix mit Disney und noch weniger mit Randy Newman zu tun

Hab gerade den Film gesehen und ich muss sagen: da klingen die Musik und die Songs echt toll und passen sich sehr gut zum Film an!
Ich glaube wirklich auch, dass es dafür eine Oscar-Nomminierung gibt.
Ich habe seit ein paar Tagen die CD und ich fand die nicht soooo toll, aber im Film ist es was anders und ich kann nur sagen: dieser Disney-Touch ist total da!
Die Score-Musik gefällt mir besser als die Songs, aber beide finde ich schön.
Randy hat es, muss ich wirklich sagen, sehr toll gemacht!
Apropo: der Film ist echt süß! Wie in der scöhnen 90er bei Disney!
