Trevor Morris has signed on to score the TV series adaptation of the legal thriller The Firm. The show is based on the bestselling novel by John Grisham and the feature film adaptation starring Tom Cruise. Josh Lucas stars as attorney Mitchell McDeere who brought down the prestigious Memphis law firm of Bendini, Lambert & Locke, which operated as a front for the Chicago mob. After a difficult decade, McDeere and his family now emerge from isolation to reclaim their lives and their future, only to find that past dangers are still lurking and new threats are everywhere. Juliette Lewis, Callum Keith Rennie, Molly Parker and Natasha Calis are co-starring in the show. David Straiton (House, Fringe) directed the pilot and Helen Shaver (Judging Amy) is producing alongside Lukas Reiter (Law & Order), John Morayniss (Hung), Michael Rosenberg (Hung) and Noreen Halpern (Rookie Blue). NBC has ordered 22 episodes of The Firm. The series is set to premiere early next year as a mid-season replacement and is scheduled to air every Sunday night on the network.
