  1. Intrada hat eine erweiterte CD der Musik zu FUNERAL IN BERLIN von Konrad Elfers veröffentlicht:

    post-1-0-77240500-1416294492.jpg

Cool release! Expanded original soundtrack by Konrad Elfers for second Harry Palmer film begun with The Ipcress File, again starring Michael Caine, this time directed by Guy Hamilton of Goldfinger fame. Palmer becomes snarled in espionage tale set in cold war Berlin, with questionable motives of Russian colonel, Israeli agent with questionable motives of her own, pursuit of operative using funeral services as cover for defections from Soviet Union through Berlin, other intrigues all ripe for dramatic musical underlining. German pianist/composer Konrad Elfers supplies sometimes intense, sometimes brooding score which anchors with memorable funeral march heard in many guises: brass-led, robust, subtle, dissonant, imposing. In contrast, beautiful love theme plays courtesy piano, strings, solo sax. Action has its say with brassy figures, percussion riffs, distinctive piano chords. Entire score melds classical, jazz, modernistic technique into superb 1960's spy-flavored work of art. All tracks of original 1966 RCA stereo soundtrack album appear, newly mixed from 1/2" three-channel masters. Exciting, previously unreleased original pre-title sequence ("Berlin"), second version of "Tension Among Mortuary Men - Reprise") amongst cool extras. Original album opening track ("Theme From Funeral In Berlin") performed by The Puppets starts CD as well. Insightful liner notes by Jeff Bond, flipper cover design by Joe Sikoryak featuring original RCA cover art plus new art round out neat package. Konrad Elfers conducts. Intrada Special Collection CD available while quantities and interest remain!

Music For 2001: A Space Odyssey
The Original Score by Alex North
Pressed on 180 Gram Black Vinyl, and randomly inserted Beyond The Infinite Vinyl
Featuring Liner Notes by Jon Burlingame
    Package design by Jay Shaw
Limited one-time pressing of 2001 copies

We are pleased to present the official online release of our next vinyl soundtrack: Music for 2001: A Space Odyssey - The Original Score by Alex North, previously released at MondoCon in Austin, TX.

Stanley Kubrick's seminal masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey is as known for its classical musical cues as it is for it's vivid imagery. What few people know is that the cues that are now forever associated with the film were a last minute revision on the part of Kubrick. There is an original score, composed for the film by the late Alex North that was abandoned during post-produciton. North did not know of the abandonment of the score until after he saw the film's premiere screening.

Working with North's estate, we're excited to release this lost original score on vinyl for the first time ever, in a deluxe package, complete with liner notes by Jon Burlingame. The package, designed by Jay Shaw, features a glossy Monolithic black, tip-on gatefold, with a holographic foil Interior gatefold, housed in a custom clear plastic slip case.

  5. Varèse Sarabande veröffentlicht am 11.11.2014 die Musik zu HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS mit der Musik von Dan Mangan & Jesse Zubot.

    post-1-0-34264100-1414741506.jpg

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Pet Sematary, originally released in April 1989. In addition to the killer poster by Mike Saputo, we'll also be releasing the soundtrack on 2XLP vinyl with the same artwork. This is the most comprehensive version of the soundtrack to date, and includes the two Ramones songs from the film previously unreleased on past versions of the soundtrack. Pressed on 180 Gram black vinyl with randomly inserted Translucent Green / Blue vinyl with Black Haze.
