2M1 Records - Home2m1 Records is very pleased to announce the upcoming score release of Nickel Children by Rich Ragsdale, which is a post-rock inspired record that mixes dark and orchestral ambience with beautiful melodic cues. Originally released in 2005, Nickel Children focuses on a poignant theme of runaways resorting to child prostitution in order to survive. Because the viewer struggles to watch the harsh realities of forced adulthood conflict with retaining innocence and humanity, Rich defines this struggle through variable guitar and piano motifs. Combining these melodies while adding a lushly dark and foreboding soundscape takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster that is the defining experience of each character in the film. Recorded, performed, and composed by Rich in a small and tiny studio gave him the ability to fine-tune and tweak every element of the performance. As a result, Nickel Children is a fantastic example of his perfectionism and his eclectic talent of composing in an entirely different genre than the standard classical style. Produced in conjunction with Andrew P. Alderete and KNR Productions, 2m1 Records is very excited to release this album next month.Composer: Rich Ragsdale

2M1 Records - Home2m1 is very pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Curse of El Charro - a dark and beautiful orchestral score by Rich Ragsdale, who himself has an eclectic repertoire of composing for video games (Aliens vs. Predator, Aliens: Colonial Marines) and independent films (Big River Man, Phantom Love, The Most Beautiful of My Very Best Years). Studying classical guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Rich went USC where he studied under Christopher Young and collaborated with a number of composers, one of which included Deborah Lurie. There is no doubt that this diverse background fused with his eclectic love and appreciation of multiple genres influenced El Charro, as it ranges from a contemporary and modern classical aesthetic to a mixture of thematic cues similar to Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, and even Chris Young's score to Hellraiser. Recorded with a live orchestra and choir, El Charro is a unique mixture of ambiance and thematic textures with a simple 4-note motif that defines Charro - a man who's fall from grace was a result of losing the woman he loved. 2m1 is very excited to release this score within the next few weeks.

Also ich finde die CD-R Alternative besser anstatt es nur als MP3 o.ä. anzubieten.
Natürlich ist eine gepresste CD besser, aber so hat man trotzdem die Möglichkeit den Soundtrack in unkomprimierter Musikqualität inkl. Booklet &. Artwork etc. zu kaufen. Der Unterschied liegt nur bei der Produktion der CD (die CD selber wird ja auch bedruckt und erhält man nicht einfach nur als Rohling, welches mit einem Marker vollgekrizelt wurde
). Sieht optisch also eig. genau so aus wie andere Alben.i tunes? welch ein mist. ich will doch eine normale cd die man in voller Qualität geniessen kann? wiso verkaufen die das nicht als CD?Bei meinem oben geposteten Link kannst du dir die CD kaufen

GENIALER SCORE GENIALER FILM: ERINNERT MICH AN DAS SCORING VON OUTBREAK 1995 und Just Cause. Vorallem diese Trommeln. So der Hammer. Ich finde ihn stilistisch genial. Ein Problem habe ich. Wieso kann man die CD in der schweiz nirgendwo bestellen? weder bei exlibris noch bei cede.ch. Gibt es den Score noch nicht als Album?
