Also eine Veröffentlichung des Scores ist geplant, aber wann und wo, also bei welchem Label genau steht noch in den Sternen.

Derzeit ist zu befürchten, dass der Film in den USA untergehen wird oder anders formuliert gar nicht gezeigt werden wird und somit auch in filmmusikalischer Sicht kaum Beachtung erhalten wird, da kein amerikanischer Verleih den Film kaufen will. Man lese und staune:

Da der Film gestern in den USA Premiere gefeiert hat, hier der Hinweis auf die iTunes Veröffentlichung des Soundtracks, welcher 2 Suiten von Youngs Score mit ein Laufzeit von knapp 10 Minuten enthält. Eine seperate Veröffentlichung des Score wird es nicht geben.

Ich find die Diskussion hier ganz schön putzig, aber damit der gute Marc auch mal "zur Wort" kommt, anbei ein Artikel anlässlich des Filmstarts von BODY OF LIES aus dem DER SPIEGEL .
"Klar könnte ich leicht in Klischees verfallen und in emotionalen Momenten noch mal extra draufdrücken, aber das kommt für mich nicht in Frage", sagt der Musiker. So hat er in mühevoller Kleinarbeit mit Streichern und unzähligen anderen Instrumenten vielschichtige, an fernöstliche Musik angelehnte Melodien und Rhythmen geschaffen. "Bei mir kommt nichts aus der Dose oder dem Sampler", erklärt Streitenfeld sein aufwändiges Konzept. -
Nach Rambo arbeiten Sylvester Stallone und Brian Tyler zum zweiten Mal zusammen an einem Film:
Brian Tyler, one of the busiest composers in Hollywood, has confirmed a number of upcoming projects to MovieScore Magazine. He is doing the music for Sylvester Stallones new action film, The Expendables, starring Stallone himself and other action stars such as Jason Stathma, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Eric Roberts. The film, about a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a dictator in South America, is produced by John Thompson, who first worked with Tyler on Stallones Rambo remake last year. Millennium Films is doing the film for distribution by Lionsgate next summer.Furthermore, Brian Tyler is doing the music for Columbus Circle, a thriller directed by George Gallo, starring Selma Blair, Amy Smart, Jason Lee, Giovanni Ribisi and Beau Bridges, and he is attached to score Battle: Los Angeles, an alien invasion flick currently in pre-prodution. Jonathan Liebesman, who worked with Brian Tyler on the recent thriller The Killing Room, is directing for a Columbia Pictures release on February 18, 2011.
Brian Tyler, who is represented by Gorfaine-Schwartz, recenly scored F. Gary Grays Law Abiding Citizen and followed in the footsteps of the late Shirley Walker, doing the music for Warner Bros. The Final Destination.

Keine Überraschung, aber jetzt offiziell
Scott sticks with Streitenfeld on Robin HoodUniversal Pictures has confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that Ridley Scott will continue his collaboration with composer Marc Streitenfeld on his upcoming film version of the classic Robin Hood tale. Streitenfeld, who came to Scott via fellow German countryman Hans Zimmer working on Gladiator, Hannibal, Black Hawk Down and Matchstick Men, has written the scores for his three latest features, A Good Year, American Gangster and Body of Lies. His music for these American Gangster resulted in a Discovery of the Year award at the World Soundtrack Awards last year. Robin Hood, which stars Russell Crowe as the righteous hero and Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian, is scheduled to premiere in May next year.

House On Haunted Hill, Hills Run Red, Starship Troopers 2 etc. sind auch alles DVD-Premieren, die Varése veröffentlicht oder veröffentlicht hat ohne, dass diese Synth Scores sind. Vielleicht hat Elias wie bei Pathfinder wieder in Prag aufgenommen, was nix kostet.

Creation ist übrigens ein sehr "kleiner Score" mit Holzbläsern und Streicherbesetzung.

Universal Music Frankreich wird am 28. September Klaus Badelts Score zu Le Petit Nicolas veröffentlichen.

Wahrscheinlich wird's wie beim ersten Teil laufen, bei dem Harry Gregson-Williams das Thema geschrieben hat und Stephen Barton den Rest des Scores gemacht hat.

DOM hat das volle Stück ja auch schon mal gehört und sehr bedauert, dass er es nicht zu den Rec Sessions geschafft hat... :-)
