Over the last couple of days, Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote) and Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Tales of Arcadia) have been recording their score for the upcoming animated comedy sequel The Addams Family 2. The film is directed by Greg Tiernan (Sausage Party) & Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Monsters vs. Aliens) and features the voice talent of Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, Chloë Grace Moretz, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Bill Hader, Bette Midler, Nick Kroll and Snoop Dogg. The movie follows Morticia and Gomez as they try to reclaim their bond with Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and the crew and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation. Vernon is also producing the project with Gail Berman (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel), Danielle Sterling (Gnome Alone) and Alison O’Brien. The Danna brothers have previously co-scored the original 2019 film and also collaborated on the music for such movies as Pixar’s Onward & The Good Dinosaur, Storks and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The Addams Family 2 is set to be released in theaters nationwide on October 1, 2021 by MGM Studios/United Artists.
