Christopher Tin hats wieder geschafft. Erneut habe ich Gänsehaut beim Hauptthema.
Der Score zu OLD WORLD, ein Spiel welches im 2. Quartal 2022 erscheint, wurde heute veröffentlicht.

"'Old World' is a blend of Arabic music with contemporary post-classical influences," said composer Christopher Tin. "I spent 8 months writing it and producing it, much of it in collaboration with a fantastic group of international collaborators, from Beirut to Budapest, Istanbul to Melbourne, Dubai to Zurich."

Old World, developed by Mohawk Games and published by Hooded Horse, is a historical 4X turn-based strategy game where you lead your empire through multiple generations, building a grand legacy which lasts well beyond your own years. With a deep mix of management, diplomacy, and warfare alongside unique revolutionary improvements to the classic 4X strategy formula, the title has been well received by critics and players alike and currently holds an 82 score on Metacritic.

Wie es scheint kehrt Sonya Belousova nicht zu Witcher zurück. Schade, da sie für ihr Werk doch so gefeiert wurde...

Dune 2 is happening! Hans Zimmer ist auch dabei.

Ich spüre bei den beiden Tracks recht viel GoT-vibes. Vor allem der 1. Track hat was von "Lights of the Seven" mit Balfe Touch, wenn auch repetiv. Und trotz Synthetik mag ich das letzte Drittel des 1. Tracks eigentlich recht gerne, spätestens wenn die Brass hört. Bin gespannt auf das ganze Album.

Der Cue hat mich dermaßen an The Crown erinnert, könnte vom Stil her auch eine Balfe-Nummer sein.
Das Stimmt. Vom Stil her erinnert es mich auch an "Safe Now" (Captain Philips) welches ja an Zimmers "Time" angelehnt war. Nichtsdestotrotz ein schönes Stück, auch wenn die Streicher am Ende ein wenig nach synth-streicher klingen (kann mich aber auch irren). Wäre cool wenn das Stück beim nächsten Zimmer Konzert (hoffentlich 2022) mit grossem Orchester vorkommen würde.

Gestern den Film geschaut und ich muss sagen, ich hatte Spass und die Musik wirkte im Film auch super. In Erinnerung bleibt für mich Final Ascent... da sind mir im Film fast die Tränen gekommen.

puh das is ja echt langweilig... gut, is auch kein Actionfilm, aber das als grosse Kunst zu verkaufen ist jetzt echt nen Scherz... Dauerbrummen wie man es von Hans auch schon 100000 mal gehört hat... die Mainstreampresse feiert den Score aber wahrscheinlich wieder mega ab... nix gegen keinen Star Wars-artigen Score, aber es is halt null originell oder was Neues von Hans... spannend isses auch nicht.
Leider wahr. Halt wieder ein "funktionaler" Sound Design Score. Den Track "Armada" fand ich aber noch relativ gut.

Nach dem ersten anhören muss ich noch sagen, dass der Soundtrack sicherlich nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Vom Niveau her wie der Soundtrack von Battlefield 4.

Der neue Battlefield Soundtrack wird kein Singleplayer enthalten, entsprechend ist der Soundtrack sehr elektronisch und industrial gehalten und nicht mehr orchestralisch wie seine Vorgänger. Dennoch wird es wohl sehr zur Stimmung beitragen, da das Spiel wieder in der nahen Zukunft spielt.

Also das Sketchbook zu Wonder Woman 1984 und auch die Xperiments from Dark Phoenix fand ich ja noch cool... aber dieses Sketchalbum hätte er sich sparen können oder später releasen sollen. Teilweise anstrengend zuzuhören. Auch versteh ich nicht, warum das Sketchalbum zu erst erscheint... Ich finde das schreckt vom eigentlichen Scorealbum eher ab. Aber ist nur meine Meinung.

Die DVD bzw. das Konzert lohnt sich leider überhaupt nicht... hatte es mir auch geholt und nach 20min wieder ausgemacht. Schade. Und DVDs sollten heutzutage sowieso nicht mehr produziert werden... grausige Qualität.
