Kein Remake eines Sinatra-Filmes.. eher eine Verfilmung des "Stolz und Vorurteils"-Romans von Jane Austen mit einer Prise Zombies
Du verwechselst den Titel wohl mit THE PRIDE AND THE PASSION

Allein der Titel des Films sowie die Tatsache, dass da Matt Smith mitspielt, sind genug Gründe für mich, den Film anzuschauen und dieser hat nun auch mit Fernando Velasquez seinen Komponisten gefunden.
Fernando Velazquez is composing the music for the upcoming horror comedy Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The film is directed by Burr Steers (17 Again, Charlie St. Cloud, Igby Goes Down) and stars Lily James, Bella Heathcote, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Douglas Booth, Matt Smith, Charles Dance and Lena Headey. The movie is based on the 2009 novel by Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Dark Shadows) and is a new take on Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England, which is faced with a new challenge -an army of undead zombies. Steers has also co-written the screenplay with David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, The Fighter). Brian Oliver & Tyler Thompson (Black Swan, Rush, The Woman in Black) are producing the project with Allison Shearmur (Cinderella), Sean McKittrick (Donnie Darko, Bad Words), Natalie Portman, Annette Savitch and Marc Butan (Confidence, Get Over It). Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is set to be released on February 5, 2016 by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.

Gabriel Yared is scoring the upcoming French biographical period drama Chocolat. The film is directed by actor Roschdy Zem and stars Omar Sy, James Thierree and Clothilde Hesme. The movie tells the life story of Padilla, aka Chocolat, who became the first black artist to appear on a French stage in the 19th century and centers around his lifelong friendship with a white artist nicknamed Footit. Eric and Nicolas Altmayer (Saint Laurent, In the House, The New Girlfriend) are producing the Mandarin Cinema production. Chocolat is expected to premiere later this year.

Die werden die Musik für den Film natürlich aufnehmen.
Wieso denn nicht?
Denke ich auch, aber bevor das nicht offiziell bestätigt wird, dass die Musik für den Film verwendet wird, müssen wir abwarten. Aktueller Stand laut dem Regisseur. Horner hat für das komplette Skript schon die Musik geschrieben und das bedeutet.. es gibt die Musik schon.
Was jetzt damit passiert, liegt in der Hand von Antoine Fugua... aber möglich ist es, dass die Musik verwendet wird, denn diese auf den fertigen Film passend arrangieren, kann bestimmt auch das Team von James Horner inkl Orchestratoren wie JAC Redford. Sowas ähnliches gab es ja schon einmal damals bei Michael Kamen und seiner Musik für BACK TO GAYA, nur dass da Kamen weitaus weniger geschrieben hat und sein Team dann aus nicht verwendeten Material früherer Scores die Musik für den Film fertig gestellt hat.
Aber es bleibt spannend, was der Regisseur und die Produzenten des Films nun damit machen.. hoffe inständig uns einen weiteren letzten James Horner-Score zu geben.
Übrigens schöne Info am Rande.. dass Horner für die Musik für SOUTHPAW trotzdem geschrieben hat, obwohl dafür wenig bis gar kein Geld verfügbar war. Wunderbare Story, die wir ja nicht zum ersten Mal über Horner hören..

Hier vorab ein Track aus dem Score.. klingt recht bondig, aber mir gefällt es.

Antoine Fugua gab bekannt, dass Horner vor seinem Tod schon mit der Arbeit an der Musik für seinen nächsten Film angefangen hat, was ja bekanntlich die Neuverfilmung von THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN wird. Horner hat wohl die Musik anhand des Skripts geschrieben.
CORNISH: One more thing - this film was dedicated to composer James Horner. He did the music for the movie, and he died in a plane crash last month. What was it like working with him?
FUQUA: Oh, wow. James is - he was an incredible human being. He was a filmmaker through and through. He was one of the most gentle people I've ever met. Even the way he spoke was very soft and thoughtful. He was magical. And he had this childlike wonderment in his eyes, but he was an amazing artist, an amazing poet. And I loved him, and we became friends. And James was a family man. He loved his children. He called me on a Saturday, after he watched the movie, and I said I don't have any money because it wasn't a big budget movie. And he said to me, I love the movie. I love the father-daughter relationship. Don't worry about the money. I'm just going to do it. And he did it for nothing. He paid his crew out of his own pocket. And I just found out a couple days ago his team flew out here to Baton Rouge, and they brought me all the music from "Magnificent Seven" - he had already wrote it for me based on the script.
CORNISH: Oh, my God.
FUQUA: And he did it all off the script because he wanted to surprise me. And I thought it was a gift or something. And they all came out here and they said, Antoine, James wrote the music for "Magnificent Seven" already, and it's just glorious. And that's my memory of James.

Extrem langer Teasertrailer für die neuen Folgen von THE X FILES

News zum kommenden ALIEN-Film
Director of the upcoming Alien sequel, Alien 5, Neill Blomkamp has just released a fresh piece of Alien 5 concept artwork featuring both Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and Cpl. Dwayne Hicks (Michael Biehn) in some kind of warehouse. The two characters are face-to-face with a (what we're assuming to be) a Yutani security / military officer. Were Ripley and Hicks rescued from the Sulacco? This new piece raises so many questions.
Speculation aside, Blomkamp added the tagline "#Alien going very well. Love this project"Neill Blomkamp will be directing a new Alien movie for 20th Century Fox which will act as a sequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien and James Cameron's Aliens. Sigourney Weaver will reprise her role as Ellen Ripley and face the dreaded Xenomorph once again. Michael Biehn is also expected to reprise his role as Cpl. Dwayne Hicks.
Currently, no release date is set for Blomkamp's Alien 5 however the plot for the film will take place well after the events of Ridley Scott's Prometheus and its sequel and closer to the timeline between Aliens and Alien 3.

Hier mal was zum Anhören..
Wie ihr ja wisst, hat Sven Lendt ja das Intro für meine Sendung EINFACH NUR FILMMUSIK komponiert. Auf meinem Wunsch hat er es gegen Ende nun etwas erweitert, damit man ein wenig merkt, wer mein Lieblingskomponist ist. Dafür sag ich auch hier nochmal DANKE an Sven. Bin so glücklich darüber, einen so talentierten Komponisten zu kennen, der unentgeltlich für einige der Sendungen auf Radio Zoom schon großartige Arbeit geleistet hat.
Auf eine hoffentlich weiterhin so wunderbare Zusammenarbeit!

Warum limitieren die die CD eigentlich wenn sie diese dann ein paar Jahre später nochmal limitiert rausbringen.. unverändert... nur mit anderer Limitierung?????
Da sieht man mal wie scheiß egal manchen Labels die Limitierung einfach ist... nur Verkaufspsychologie um dem Kunden zu täuschen... Schande über euch!
Vermute eher.. diese Veröffentlichung ist hier eher ein Dienst an die Horner-Fans, die damals die CD verpasst haben und gerade aufgrund seines Ablebens nun die verpasste Chance hinterherweinen. Weil normal ist es nicht, das nur nach wenigen Jahren so ein Score nochmal bei LLL veröffentlicht wird. Das ist gerade einzigartig.

Fand den trailer ja sehr nett. Musik erwarte ich eigentlich nicht mehr als Krach, wie bei sowas leider ja nur noch der Fall bei Elfman... Leider
Siddl hat doch schon verraten, wie die Musik von Elfman klingt und das klingt nicht nach Krach
Habe heute die Vor- und Nachmittagssessions besucht. Erst 60- dann 80-Mann-Orchester.
Das ganze lief wieder im Striping-Verfahren ab - bis auf einen ersten Schnelldurchlauf wurden die Cues nie zusammen eingespielt, sondern nur nach Sections - so wie es zu 80% läuft heutzutage. Schrecklich.
Soviel sei aber gesagt; Film sieht unbrauchbar aus. Musik klingt sehr nach Elfman - das Trillermotif wird oft benutzt und ein Thema wurde heute in fast jedem Cue verarbeitet. Nett.
Stilistisch ein wenig mehr in die Richtung des 90er-Dannys. Wenn auch nicht übertrieben.

Neues Interview mit Danny Elfman, was man in voller Länge hier sich anhören kann und wo er auch über die ED WOOD-Sache redet.
Grammy-winning composer Danny Elfman and director Tim Burton have collaborated on 16 films, from "Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure" to "The Nightmare Before Christmas," several of which have taken center stage for the live show "Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton." And while Elfman has created the sounds of countless Burton fantasy worlds, their partnership has not always been so harmonious.
Elfman, who has scored all of Burton's major feature films except for "Ed Wood" and "Sweeney Todd," discussed his tumultuous relationship with the director in a HuffPost Live interview on Friday, remembering the "unique situation" that left duo at odds just as Burton was to start filming "Ed Wood."
"It was in the middle of a very intense period. I'd just finished 'The Nightmare Before Christmas,' which was a two-and-a-half-year project, in the middle of which I did 'Batman Returns.' And I was used to being on a film for three months, not two years-plus," Elfman said. "So it was kind of a unique situation, and I think things came to a boil. ... A year after that I felt terrible. I really felt like I … had lost a sibling."
After working together for so long, Elfman said the spat was bound to happen.
"It's inevitable that in over a quarter of a century, two personalities like us -- and I can't pretend that I'm not volatile and was more so then -- there's gotta be some kind of explosion or implosion," Elfman told host Caroline Modaressy-Tehrani. "And we used to joke that we'd end up like Bernard Herrmann and Alfred Hitchcock, who famously had a great relationship that, in fact, exploded, and then they never spoke to each other again -- and then it actually happened."
The pair eventually met up at a coffee shop in Kansas City, where Burton was filming "Mars Attacks!," to reconcile their differences.
"We just got together and said, 'Let's just never speak of it.' And I [said], 'Good, we never will,' and we never have. And everything's been lovely since then," said Elfman.

Musik kommt digital bei Madison Gate Records heraus und die CD wird dann bei Sony Classical erscheinen
Madison Gate Records and Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the upcoming adventure horror comedy Goosebumps. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Edward Scissorhands). The soundtrack will be released digitally by Madison Gate Records and physically by Sony Classical. Check back on this page for the full album details. Goosebumps is directed by Rob Letterman and stars Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, Amy Ryan, Jillian Bell, Ryan Lee and Ken Marino. The movie is based on the book series of the same title and follows a teenager who moves to a small town and meets the beautiful girl next door whose mysterious dad is revealed to be Goosebumps author R. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for Bill Condon’s drama Mr. Holmes. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Twilight, True Grit, Being John Malkovich) who previously scored the director’s Gods and Monsters, Kinsey, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and The Fifth Estate. The soundtrack will be released digitally within the next week. A CD version will be released on August 28, 2015 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article soon. Mr. Holmes starring Ian McKellen, Laura Linney and Milo Parker is set in 1947, when an ageing Sherlock Holmes returns from a journey to Japan and faces the end of his days, tending to his bees, with only the company of his housekeeper and her young son. Stephen Warbeck is scoring the upcoming BBC drama The Dresser. The film id directed by Richard Eyre (Iris, Notes on a Scandal) and stars Anthony Hopkins, Ian McKellen, Emily Watson, Sarah Lancashire, Edward Fox, Vanessa Kirby, Tom Brooke, John Ashton, Ian Conningham, Annalisa Rossi, Helen Bradbury, Carl Sanderson, Matthew Cottle and Martin Chamberlain. The movie is based on Ronald Harwood’s play and tells the story of one fateful night in a small regional theatre during World War II as a troupe of touring actors stage a production of Shakespeare’s King Lear. Colin Callender (Wolf Hall, The Missing, The White Queen) is executive producing the project with Sonia Friedman, Polly Hill and Ben Stephenson. Warbeck has previously collaborated with Eyre on the feature The Other Man, as well as the Henry IV installments of The Hollow Crown.
