Mal eine Frage: In den End Titles hört man nach einer kurzen stillen Pause das Hauptthema von jemanden nachsummen. Ist das Brando oder Brynner und stammt das aus dem Film?

Gestern verstarb der legendäre Albert Uderzo im Alter von 92 Jahren, daher wird der heutige Anfangsblock ihm gewidmet. Aus der Vielzahl von Asterixfilmen, deren Vorlagen er geschrieben und gezeichnet hat, gibt es eine unterhaltsame Auswahl an Musik zu hören. Die Tracks daraus stammen von Komponisten wie Gérard Calvi, Vladimir Cosma, Michel Colombier, Philippe Rombi und Frederic Talgorn. Außerdem mit im Programm: Der Geheimtipp des Monats (Annette Focks - Molly Monster - Der Kinofilm) und die eine oder andere News aus der Filmmusikbranche. Die Hörproben klingen echt nicht schlecht. Von den Komponisten kenne ich bisher nur "Frank vs. God", den ich damals für Cinema Musica rezensiert habe und ganz gelungen fand.
Da die Ausgabe ja mittlerweile vergriffen ist, hier der Auszug:
ZitatHier wird mit verschiedenen Stilmitteln gearbeitet. Ein Teil des Scores besteht aus ruhigen, schön atmosphärischen Klangflächen mit feinen Pianoelementen, die in ihren besten Momenten (Not lost) an einen Thomas Newman erinnern. Aber auch an die Musik von Mark Snow muss man hier ab und zu denken (David's Wife). Bei einem anderen Track (Then God Sould Pay For It!) geht es sogar schon mal die Richtung Funk und man gleich erwartet, dass James Brown das Mikrophon in die Hand nimmt und losträllert, was natürlich nicht passiert. Beim Track Tornado gibt es dann moderne, wenn auch etwas abgeschwächte Actionmusik inkl dem leider schon zu oft genutzten legendären Inception-Ton. Ansonsten tauchen auch immer wieder ruhige und auch schnelle Streicherpassagen auf, die auch irgendwie schon einmal gehört klingen. Es gibt auch auch leise Synthie- und Sound-Effekte, die aber nur als Zusatz in der Musik genutzt werden und niemals in den Vordergrund rücken. Einmal hört man sogar einen leichten kurzen Technobeat (You've Been Served). Jonathan Beard packte einiges in die Musik rein und sorgte damit für reichlich Abwechslung. Jedoch wirklich neue Elemente sucht man hier vergebens. Aber wenn man diese Tatsache übersieht, dann erwartet einem ein in sich stimmiges und auch gutes Hörvergnügen.

Neue Musik von Roque Banos

Nainita Desai, die letztes Jahr meiner Meinung nach mit zwei großartigen Scores (Untamed Romania und Darkness Visible) zu Recht Aufmerksamkeit erlangte, wird die Musik für die Doku-Serie "Fierce Queens" schreiben.

Für den allerersten deutschen Lassie-Film hat Enis Rotthoff (Vier gegen die Bank, Er ist wieder da) die Musik geschrieben und diese wurde nun auch veröffentlicht.

Ralf Wengenmayr ist auch bei der Fortsetzung von Jim Knopf wieder mit an Bord. Die Scoring Sessions sollten Ende April stattfinden, aber Ralf sieht da eher schwarz, dass das passieren wird.

Das ist echt ein ganz großartiger Score. Sehr verspielt zwar in seinen so vielen Elementen, aber diese sind immer auf den Punkt gebracht. Mir gefallen auch die irischen Elemente sehr in der Musik. Als ich die am letzten Mittwoch in meiner Sendung gespielt habe, wurde virtuell das Tanzbein geschwungen. Der Score kam überhaupt gut bei den im Chat anwesenden an. Daher glaube ich, dass fast jeder Fan von Filmmusik hier was für sich finden kann. Sehr schöne Veröffentlichung.

Ich bin echt erstaunt, wieviele Easter Eggs, welche an seinen anderen Scores erinnern, allein in seiner Szene eingebaut wurde. Das macht dieses Cameo noch wundervoller.
