Mal kein Harald Kloser/Thomas Wander für Emmerichs neuen Film:
Rob Simonsen has composed the music for the upcoming drama Stonewall. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Stargate, 2012, The Patriot) and stars Jeremy Irvine, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ron Perlman, Jonny Beauchamp, Joey King, Caleb Landry Jones, Karl Glusman, Vlademir Alexis, and Alexandre Nachi. The movie follows a young man in New York caught up during the 1969 Stonewall Riots, a pivotal event widely considered the starting point for the modern gay civil rights movement. Jon Robin Baitz (Brothers & Sister, The Slap) has written the screenplay. Emmerich is also producing the Centropolis Entertainment production with Michael Fossat, Marc Frydman (The Contender, Flyboys, Straw Dogs) and Carsten Lorenz.

Lorne Balfe has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming sci-fi action movie Terminator Genisys. Hans Zimmer will serve as the executive music producer according to the film’s new international poster. The film is directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Lee Byung-hun, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Sandrine Holt and J. K. Simmons. The movie follows John Connor as he sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and safeguard the future and finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past.. Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine) have written the screenplay.

Ich hatte hier eigentlich Giacchino erwartet, aber Weitz am Drehbuch und Edwards an der Regie...da ist es dann doch schon logisch dass es am Ende auf Desplat herausläuft.
Aber Giacchino wird sicher ein paar Filme in der Reihe machen, abwarten.

Nach Mad Max, macht Holkenborg nun auch das Point Break Remake.
Tom Holkenborg announced on Twitter that he will be scoring the upcoming reboot of Point Break. The film is directed by Ericson Core (Invincible) and stars Edgar Ramirez, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer and Ray Winstone. The action thriller is set in the world of extreme sports and follows an FBI agent infiltrating a ring of criminals. Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium, Law Abiding Citizen, Salt) has written the screenplay and is also producing the project with Alcon Entertainment’s Broderick Johnson & Andrew Kosove (The Blind Side, Prisoners, Dolphin Tale, Insomnia) and John Baldecchi (The Mexican, Conan the Barbarian) and Chris Taylor.

Der einzige Film der noch in Ordnung war ist District 9, dann gings nur noch Bergab. Wenn man jetzt daran denkt, dass der Mann sich als nächstes Alien vornimmt, ich hoffe den Produzenten ist klar was sie da machen.

Das hatte ich im Hinterkopf und im Prinzip lag das ja auch auf der Hand, dass bei dem Preis die Exemplare zu schnell über den Ladentisch gehen. Und dann war irgendwann nichts mehr da und es kam kein Nachschub mehr, so dass wohl u.a. auch ich Leer ausgegangen bin.

Auf den ersten Blick würde ich sagen Source Music, kann sich aber auch um etwas anderes handeln.

Etwa das hat er mir auch in Köln erzählt, wobei er hoffe wieder wie bei Teil 2 schreiben zu dürfen. Ich hoffe Nolan hat Singer da nicht zu viel eingetrichtert.

Der neue Film von Gavin O'Connor (The Warrior, Pride and Glory):
Mark Isham is reteaming with director Gavin O’Connor to score the upcoming action thriller The Accountant. The film stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kenrick, J.K Simmons, Jon Bernthal, John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor. The movie centers on a mild-mannered accountant and math genius who moonlights as a lethal assassin. Bill Dubuque (The Judge) has written the Black List-honored screenplay. Electric City Entertainment’s Lynette Howell (The Place Beyond the Pines, Blue Valentine, Big Eyes) and Mark Williams (Flawless, Arena) are producing the project. Isham and O’Connor have previously collaborated on the features Miracle, Pride and Glory and Warrior.

Unser Frisch gebackener Oscar Preisträger macht mal wieder was für das Französische Kino. Es ist der neue Film von Robert Guédiguian (L'Armée du Crime).
Alexandre Desplat is currently scoring the upcoming French drama Une Histoire De Fou. The film is directed by Robert Guédiguian (The Snows of Kilimanjaro, Marius and Jeannette) and stars Simon Abkarian, Ariane Ascaride, Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet, Serge Avédikian and Syrus Shahidi. The movie follows a young man from Marseilles of Armenian origin who blows up the car of the Turkish Ambassador in Paris and later decides to meet a victim who was standing nearby and was hurt in the incident to make him his spokesman. Guédiguian has also co-written the screenplay with Gilles Taurand (Thieves, Farewell, My Queen) and also serves as a producer on the project.

War ja schon länger klar, aber jetzt gibts auch die offizielle Bestätigung:
John Ottman has officially signed on to score X-Men: Apocalypse. The film is directed by Bryan Singer and star Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassebender, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters and Rose Byrne who return in their roles from X-Men: First Class and Days of Future Past. They are joined by new cast members Sophie Turner who will play Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, as well as Oscar Isaacs and Ben Hardy. Simon Kinberg who scripted the previous film in the franchise is writing the screenplay for the sequel, which takes place in the 1980s. Singer and Kinberg are also producing the project with Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker. Ottman will also once again serve as the film’s editor.

Bei Desplat sind immer Sylvain Morizet und Jean-Pascal Beintus hauptsächlich mit im Boot. Oder wie bei Argo z.b. noch eine ganze Menge mehr, TJ Lindgren u.a.

Alan Silvestri kommt dieses Jahr am 24. Oktober zum World Soundtrack Award nach Gent und wird dort ein Konzert geben.
