In meinen Augen ein sehr uninspirierter Score von Howard, hat wenig Substanz und plätschert ohne Höhepunkte vor sich hin. Ähnlich wie Pawn Sacrifice recht schwach.

The saga will be continuing a little later that originally planned. Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII, which was planned for release May 26, 2017, will instead arrive nearly seven months later. The studio has had Episode VIII delayed until December 15, 2017. Jumping in to claim the original May release date will be Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
The move to have Episode VIII delayed follows the extraordinary success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was the first Star Wars movie to premiere in December. In the popular holiday moviegoing corridor, it smashed numerous records, including biggest domestic and global debuts of all time as well as the biggest domestic second and third weekends, en route to becoming the highest grossing domestic release of all time with over $861M and the third biggest global release ever with $1.887B.
Written and directed by Johnson, Star Wars: Episode VIII is currently in pre-production and will begin principal photography in London next month. Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman will produce and J.J. Abrams, Tom Karnowski, and Jason McGatlin will executive produce.
Previously scheduled for a July 7, 2017 release, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales features the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow with Geoffrey Rush back on board as Barbossa, Orlando Bloom resurfacing as Will Turner, and a terrifying new adversary, Captain Salazar, played by Javier Bardem, in the mix. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, the film is currently in post-production.
The blockbuster franchise’s previous installment, the $1B-grossing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, also debuted in late May.

Alex Heffes has been hired to score the upcoming drama Queen of Katwe. The film is directed by Mira Nair (Vanity Fair, The Namesake, Amelia, Monsoon Wedding) and stars Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo. The movie is based on Tim Crothers’ 2011 ESPN The Magazine article and book The Queen of Katwe: A Story of Life, Chess, and One Extraordinary Girl’s Dream of Becoming a Grandmaster and tells the story of Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutes who became a Woman Candidate Master after her performance at the World Chess Olympiad.

Nicht wirklich, aber Willimon und Spacey wurden auf der Premiere von Season 3 gefragt wie es weitergeht und da haben beide gesagt, dass es gut sein kann, dass mit der 4. alles erzählt ist.

Der Score ist wie erwähnt recht kurz geraten (gerade mal 24 Minuten). Bietet daher auch nicht viel Abwechslung. Sehr Synth lastig, dazu ein wenig Streicher Untermalung und Klarinette hin und wieder. Vom Ansatz her wie Parkland nur etwas "kühler". Die Tracks 1,4 und 8 reichen hier völlig aus.
Finde den Score nicht übel, aber neues bietet der nicht wirklich was.

Für den 26. Februar hat Varese zudem eine VÖ mit Musik zur Serie JESSE STONE von Jeff Beal angekündigt.
In addition, the label will also release a new soundtrack album for the long-running movie series Jesse Stone. Beal has composed the music for all 10 installments in series starring Tom Selleck between 2005 and 2015. Jesse Stone – The Ultimate Collection will be released on February 26, 2016 and is now available for pre-order here.

Zum Start der 4. und letzten Staffel von House of Cards gibts von Varese dann auch den Score von Jeff Beal:
Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey & Robin Wright. The album features selections from the original music from the fourth season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (Monk, Rome, Carnivale, Ugly Betty, Appaloosa). The 2-CD set will be released on March 4, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Hast recht die Liste sieht im Prinzip komplett aus, mir fällt da auch nichts mehr ein was da fehlen sollte.
Anyway ich Tippe mal THE FORCE AWAKENS marschiert hier eh durch. War doch bei Interstellar letztes Jahr auch so.

Ich fand den Film auch recht gelungen, war wirklich sehr unterhaltsam. Trotzdem ist es Storytechnisch nicht wirklich was neues, der Kampf zwischen gut und böse, helle Seite/dunkle Seite.
Altbekanntes neu inszeniert halt nur 30 Jahre später. Was das Schicksal der Starkiller Base angeht, da musste ich fast Lachen, das hatte ich so nicht erwartet.
Von den von Martin erwähnten Schockmomenten, sticht einer ganz klar heraus. Das hat sicher keiner von uns auf der Rechnung gehabt.
Den Cast fand ich wirklich gut getroffen, allen voran Adam Driver als Bösewicht hat mir richtig Spaß gemacht. Auch mit Daisy Ridley's Rey kann ich mit sympathisieren.
Das ganze ist dazu wirklich toll inszeniert mit Effekten, Kulissen usw.
Williams' Score ist sehr präsent, bietet einiges an neuem Material. So richtig hängengeblieben ist bei mir bis auf die Themen und die Starkiller Schlacht am Ende recht wenig. Handwerklich gut, aber irgendwie fehlt es der Musik an etwas.
Aber alles in allem ein Toller Film, der sich wirklich lohnt.

Erste Bilder zum Harry Potter Spin Off "Fantastic Beasts"

Hat schon einiges an Scores geschrieben, richtig große Sachen allerdings nicht bis auf das Sozial-Drama Precious vor ein paar Jahren.
Kann mir im Prinzip nur so erklären, dass der Film eine US-Bulgarische Co-Production ist.
Desplat konnte nicht da er den neuen Frears Film macht.
