WaterTower Music will release the official soundtrack album for Alexander Payne’s social satire Downsizing. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rolfe Kent (Wedding Crashers, Up in the Air, Legally Blonde) who previously scored Payne’s Sideways (which earned him a Golden Globe nomination), Election, About Schmidt and Citizen Ruth. Also included is the original song A Little Change in the Weather written by Kent, with lyrics by the composer, Edward Randell & Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson and performed by The Swingles. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 22 (click here to order) and physically on January 12, 2018. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Downsizing is co-written and directed by Payne and stars Matt Damon, Christoph Waltz, Hong Chau and Kristen Wiig. The movie follows a man who joins the throngs of people undergoing a new process that reduces people to a tiny fraction of their size before moving to one of the many communities of small people that are sprouting up around the world.
