Vielleicht sollte hier nochmal direkt angemerkt werden, dass wir hier im Forum im Großen und Ganzen nichts gegen synthetische Scores haben. Jerry Goldsmith (und nein, ich knie vor keinem Altar, egal für wen) hat immer wieder erfolgreich mit diesem Instrument experimentiert. Es ist eben wie mit jedem anderen Instrument: Einige können es und einige nicht. Deshalb würde ich mich über ein wenig mehr Sachlichkeit freuen, denn sonst ist zum einen der Thread schnell dicht und die ein oder andere gelbe Karte wird fliegen.

Marcel Barsotti zeichnet sich für die Musik verantwortlich und die passende CD ist bei Alhambra erschienen. Ja, weiß man. Wie im Zitat von BigMacGyver zu lesen ist, wird KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL der bereits erhältlichen Veröffentlichung entsprechen. Aber der Name passt schon, immerhin sind es die Scores zu allen 4 Indiana Jones-Filmen und somit komplett.

Bisher ist nur bekannt, wann das Set erscheint und was es vermutlich beinhaltet. Wie die Musik dann gestaltet wird, weiß sicherlich noch keiner außer Concord Records. Ich denke aber, dass in den nächsten Wochen genügend Informationen über das Set auftauchen werden.

Seit Anfang des Monats sind bei iTunes die Soundtracks zu div. Blizzard Spielen erhältlich, u.a. zu World of Warcraft oder Diablo 2: Diablo 2 - Soundtrack Diablo III - Overture World of Warcraft - Soundtrack World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - Soundtrack Die Titel sind jeweils im iTunes PLUS-Format und zu Preisen zwischen 0,99 (Diablo III Overture) und 9,99 für die Soundtracks erhältlich. Interessant übrigens, dass die Overture von Diablo 3 im Gegensatz zum US-amerikanischen iTunes Store nicht kostenlos erhältlich ist.

Wow, diesmal aber sehr früh. Entweder gibt es im November nochmal eine Staffel oder die November-Staffel wurde in Hinblick auf die Juni-Staffel vorgezogen. Egal wieso, ich bin gespannt auf die Dinge die da kommen.

Zumindest ist die Entscheidung nun schon seit einiger Zeit für Blu-Ray getroffen worden und das ist, meiner Meinung nach, auch die beste Wahl gewesen, schließlich ist es, im Gegensatz zur HD-DVD, keine Weiter- sondern eine Neuentwicklung.

Zumindest die Wiederveröffentlichung von RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK ist im Zusammenhang mit der DVD/Blu-Ray - Veröffentlichung von KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL zu sehen.

Und wieder ein Score, den ich von meiner Wunschliste streichen kann: Star Trek: The Motion Picture Dass die Musik nicht nur im Film passend ist, konnten wir am Tag des Kaufes auf der Heimreise auf eindrucksvolle Weise selbst erleben: Während der Überfahrt mit der Rheinfähre lief Track 3 Klingon Battle und durch die leicht düstere Stimmung, den Bewegungen der Fähre und der fast vollkommenen Abwesenheit von Lärm war es einfach toll zur Musik über den Rhein zu fahren. Das nächste Highlight war die Fahrt durch den Wald ins Örtchen wo meine Freundin nun wohnt: Durch den vorhergehenden Regen war es leicht neblig und der, meiner Meinung nach, beste Track des Albums The Enterprise lag an und im Moment kurz vor Schluß wo Jerry nochmal alle Register zieht, fahren wir aus dem Wald und die Sonne scheint. Gänsehaut pur. Und jetzt läuft die Scheibe nochmal, damit ich mich mit dieser wundervollen Musik mehr vertraut mache, obwohl ich sie schon gut aus dem Film kenne, aber als Album ist es noch immer etwas anderes und sehr intensiv, wenn man das richtige Ambiente hat. Jetzt fehlen mir nur noch die Scores zu den Teilen 2-4, dann wäre die Sammlung soweit komplett.

Rhein auf, Rhein ab ging es die letzten Tage und da sind auch 2 feine Scores hängen geblieben: Im Saturn Koblenz gab es für knapp 10 Euro: Papillon - Jerry Goldsmith Keine 5km weiter gab es im MediaMarkt die gleiche CD für 2 Euro weniger. Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Jerry Goldsmith In Sinzig am Rhein gab es in einem kleinen CD Laden dann endlich Jerrys STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE für angenehme 9,99. Das 20-Jährige Jubiläum ist auch schon wieder 10 Jahre her, also könnte man doch eigentlich zum 30. noch eine definitive, komplette Fassung veröffentlichen.

Aber wozu? Wenn du dir sowieso die Box bestellst, hättest du die CD ja dann nochmal.
