Warum ist bei einem deutschen Forum eigentlich soviel in englischer Sprache? Bei anderen Foren aus dem Ausland ist, wenn ich auf "German" umstelle, zu 99% alles perfekt. Das brauchst Du aber nicht auch "an Marcus weitergeben". Bringt eh nichts. Die Frage ist rein rhetorisch.
Die Frage stelle ich mir auch.. vielleicht sind die Macher noch welche der alten Schule und wollen alles manuell übersetzt haben. Keine Ahnung, aber du bist mit der Frage nicht alleine.

Der Film soll in dem Jahr rauskommen, und Peter Hackman, der PR Agent von Young, hat nun erzählt, dass Christopher Young ein "Flöten-Konzert" für den Film geschrieben hat.

Ich hab gerade mal nachgeschaut. Also ich kann mich unsichtbar machen, zwar nicht mehr bei der Anmeldung, aber als Dauerzustand, denn ich hab das gerade in den Kontoeinstellungen gefunden.

Ich vermute, dass irgendwann nochmal ein Extended Score kommt. Aber wer weiß.
Lorne Balfe hat in einem Post, den du hier in diesem Thread sehen kannst, angekündigt, dass es auch noch ein reines Score-Release geben wird.
Der Kommentar, den ich da geteilt habe, ist im Grunde nicht so wirklich nachvollziehbar, wie hier Lars geschrieben hat.

Die neue Ausgabe von EINFACH NUR FILMMUSIK beginnt heute erneut mit einem Anfangsblock, welcher eigentlich nur der erste Teil des filmmusikalischen Archivroulettes ist. Denn der zweite Teil folgt dann in der zweiten Stunde der Sendung. Darin wird u.a. Musik von Franz Waxman, Anne-Kathrin Dern, Joseph LoDuca, Bear McCreary, Michiru Oshima, Alexandre Desplat, Roy Budd, Hans Zimmer & Steve Mazzaro und Joe Henson & Alexis Smith erklingen.. Außerdem gibt es neben des Geheimtippe des Monats ("Mr. Malcolm's List " von Amelia Warner) noch den Newsblock, in dem die neuen Scores von Matthijs Kieboom, Steven Price und Scot Stafford vorgestellt werden. Der CW-Favoriten-Block (Horner/Goldsmith/Giacchino der Woche) ist natürlich auch wieder mit dabei. Das alles bekommt ihr ab 20 Uhr nur auf www.radio-zoom.de

Der neue Film von Neil Jordan (Interview mit einem Vampir) hat einen Score von David Holmes. Es handelt sich hier übrigens um eine weitere Verfilmung um den legendären Privatdetektiven Marlowe, dieses Mal gespielt von Liam Neeson. Eine Seltenheit Neeson mal nicht in einer Hauptrolle in einem Actionfilm zu sehen. Freue mich auf den Film.

Wie schon im Gerüchte etc. Thread geschrieben, ist nun seit Freitag die Deluxe Edition von einen der (aus meiner Sicht) schönsten Scores von Jerry Goldsmith erhältlich. Ich kriege immer noch Gänsehaut, wenn im Track "Main Title" plötzlich Goldsmith zu hören ist, wie er das Thema mitsummt. Der Score gehörte ja auch zu seinen persönlichen Favoriten.
Btw sehr interessant, dass Michael Abels damals bei den Scoring Sessions mitgearbeitet hat.ZitatJerry Goldsmith’s favorite projects, especially late in life, were films that spotlighted people—their hopes, feelings and relationships. And no film was a better fit for Goldsmith’s artistic passion than Rudy: the 1993 true-life story of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger (Sean Astin), an undersized grinder whose quixotic dream to play Notre Dame Fighting Irish football came true for a few brief plays in 1975.
For Rudy, Goldsmith reteamed with Hoosiers director David Anspaugh and writer Angelo Pizzo for another crowd-pleasing, critically acclaimed Indiana sports movie that became part of the pantheon. The score is heartfelt, warm and melodic, speaking to the universal grandeur of one man’s underdog quest. Goldsmith’s propulsive melody for the football sequences—an uplifting, balletic, driving approach—is a majestic triumph, and quickly became repurposed for trailers, commercials and actual sporting events.
“There are so few things in the world that you can stand up and scream from the rooftops and not care what anyone says, because you know there’s absolute right and absolute wrong,” says Rudy himself, in a new interview for this release. “And it is an absolute right and an absolute truth that this score by Jerry Goldsmith is perfect. It’s a perfect score.”
Varèse Sarabande released the Rudy soundtrack in 1993 in a 37-minute program. This Deluxe Edition expands the sequence to 67 minutes, including the film’s a cappella recordings of the classic “Hike, Notre Dame!” and “Notre Dame Victory March.” Liner notes by Tim Greiving feature new interview material with Rudy, Pizzo, Anspaugh and Astin—as well as Get Out composer Michael Abels, who worked at the sessions—and archival comments by Goldsmith and contractor JoAnn Kane.

ZitatWalt Disney Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1992 animated classic Aladdin directed by John Musker & Ron Clements and starring Scott Weinger, Robin Williams, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried & Douglas Seale. The Legacy Collection release coincides with the movie’s 30th anniversary and features the original songs from the film written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Tangled) and featuring lyrics by Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast) & Tim Rice (The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar), the remastered original score by Menken, as well as outtakes and alternate tracks. The 2-CD set is now available to order on the Disney Music Emporium website. A digital version is also expected to be released soon. Aladdin is now available to stream on Disney+ and to purchase on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.

Justin Hurwitz und Damien Chazelle arbeiten erneut zusammen. Soweit ich weiß ist das nun schon das fünfte Mal, denn bisher hat Hurwitz jeden Kinofilm von Chazelle vertont, darunter auch "La-La Land".

Ganz ehrlich: Ich habe in der Tat das Gefühl, dass man Desplat ersetzen wird. Nicht wegen seiner Qualität, sondern wegen der Fehlentscheidung von Verantwortlichen. Letztere wollen bestimmt einen hippen Hau-drauf 190 bpm Popscore.
Bezweifle ich tatsächlich, und wenn, dann kann Desplat das genauso liefern. Der hat schon in seiner Karriere bewiesen, dass er Musik schreiben kann, die total schräg ist. Ich erinnere mich zum Beispiel an seinen Mr Fox- oder seinen "French Dispatch"-Score oder andere.. selbst EDM-Beats hat er schon in seine Scores eingebaut. Wenn schräge Musik von Desplat verlangt wird, dann kann er das abliefern, und dazu wissen die Verantwortlichen genau, was sie von ihm erwarten können.
Ich bin sehr gespannt auf den Film, weil hier eben mit der Regisseurin, die mit ihrem Lebensgefährten Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story) auch das Drehbuch geschrieben hat, jemand am Start ist, den man nicht bei so einem Film erwarten würde. Dazu zähle ich auch Baumbach. Normalerweise sind die eher für Filme bekannt, die schon etwas mehr Anspruch haben. Daher erwarte ich hier keinen Film wie die teils schrecklichen Neuverfilmungen von "Baywatch", "21 Jump Street" und so weiter. Ich erwarte vielleicht sogar eher eine Satire, die das ganze sehr schickt und überspitzt aufs Korn nimmt. Bisher ist aber nichts über die Handlung bekannt...

Neben der Serie wird derzeit auch am dritten Kinofilm gearbeitet, bei dem dann Nicolas Cage wieder mit dabei ist. Soweit ich weiß, ist das Drehbuch sogar schon fertig.

Daniel Hart ist der Komponist der "Interview mit dem Vampir"-Serie

The show is created by Rolin Jones (Perry Mason) and stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Bailey Bass, Assad Zaman and Eric Bogosian. The 7-part drama is based on Anne Rice’s iconic gothic novel and follows Louis de Pointe, Lestat De Lioncourt and Claudia’s story of love, blood and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy. Jones is also executive producing the production with Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), Christopher & Anne Rice, as well as Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World) who also directed the first two episodes. Hart has previously collaborated with Jones on Fox’s The Exorcist TV series. Interview with the Vampire will premiere on October 2, 2022 on AMC and will also be available to stream on AMC+.

Nach "Little Woman" wird Desplat auch den nächsten Film der Regisseurin Greta Gerwig vertonen, und das ist ja die Verfilmung von Barbie.

No plot details have been announced yet. Gerwig (Lady Bird) also co-wrote the screenplay with Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story, The Squid and the Whale). Robbie is producing the project with LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley (I, Tonya, Promising Young Woman), Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner (Dallas Buyers Club, Escape Room), as well as David Heyman (Harry Potter series, Gravity, Paddington). Desplat has previously scored Gerwig’s last directorial effort, Little Women. Barbie is set to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Among Desplat’s other upcoming and recent projects include Guillermo del Toro’s animated movie Pinocchio, Stephen Frears’ The Lost King, Roman Polanski’s The Palace, Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, Michel Hazanavicius’ The Most Precious of Cargo and Rebecca Miller’s She Came to Me.
