  1. Caldera Records is proud to present the original score for the motion picture “That Good Night” from 2017, directed by Eric Styles, featuring music by Guy Farley. The film, based on the stage play by N.J. Crisp, tells the story of Ralph, a successful writer whose life is full of regrets. With a curious personality that’s both charming and rude, Ralph has built a number of “love him or hate him” relationships over his life – unfortunately, his family seems to fall into the latter group. Now in his seventies and terminally ill, Ralph sets out two goals before entering that good night: he wants to mend his relationship with long-abandoned son Michael and also make sure that he is not a burden to his much younger second wife, Anna. “That Good Night” marks the last screen performance of John Hurt who passed away in January of 2017. Hurt is joined by Charles Dance and Sofia Helin in a stellar cast. The music for “That Good Night” was written by Guy Farley (“Modigliani”, “Maria di Nazaret”). Farley provided an elegant underscore, recorded with a small orchestra of strings, woodwinds, harp, piano, and world instruments such as a Cavaquino, Spanish guitars, an accordion and ethnic percussion which capture the Mediterranean flavour of the Portuguese Algarve, while the chamber orchestra works its magic on the emotional element of the story. The score, one of Farley’s best to date, is filled with memorable themes and motifs that are both uplifting and touching, paying tribute to the character’s struggles and the film’s hopeful message. The 24th CD-release of Caldera Records features a detailed booklet-text by Gergely Hubai and elegant artwork by Luis Miguel Rojas. The CD was produced by Stephan Eicke and John Elborg. 2. C6017 Caldera Records is proud to present the “Guy Farley Film Music Collection”, representing a selection of four soundtracks composed by Guy Farley. Included are “Anthropoid” (2016), “Tula: The Revolt” (2013), “Irish Jam” (2006) and “Dot.com” (2007). No compilation can highlight the versatility of the British composer as well as this one: For “Anthropoid”, Farley wrote a moving choral piece, while “Tula: The Revolt” shows his sure symphonic hand for romantic melodies and aggressive action. “Irish Jam” is a colourful score featuring influences from Irish folklore and “Dot.com” is a lively composition for small orchestra and solo instruments such as guitar and harmonica, portraying the joie de vivre of village life in southern Europe. All four scores are bound together by their catchy melodies and transparent orchestration, making Farley one of the most inspired British musicians who can always be trusted to deliver high-quality work. Caldera has already released three CDs with the Farley's works, “Secret Sharer”, “Maria di Nazaret” and “Modigliani”. This new CD is not only a celebration of our relationship, but also a celebration of great music. As a bonus, we included an exclusive audio commentary by the composer where he talks about his work. The 17th CD-release of Caldera Records features a detailed booklet-text by Gergely Hubai and elegant artwork by Luis Miguel Rojas with new, exclusive photographs taken by Madeleine Farley. 3. Caldera Records is proud to present its newest CD with a deluxe edition of “Modigliani” by Guy Farley.”Modigliani” is probably the best known score by the British composer whose scores “Secret Sharer”, “Maria di Nazaret” and “L’uomo che sognava con le aquile” were already released on Caldera. Indeed, the score for the 2004 movie by Mick Davis starring Andy Garcia has a special place in the heart of its composer and is without doubt his richest work as it combines sensual symphonic compositions, ethnic music and arrangements of songs by Sasha Lazard. The main theme from “Modigliani” is a favourite of many soundtrack fans and probably Farley’s most beloved composition to date. The soundtrack was released ten years ago by Milan Records but the CD sold out quickly and can be found rarely on eBay and only for high prices. Because of that, we not only decided to re-release the score but also to give it a special treatment. The CD features a different presentation of the score than the Milan CD as we were never happy with the sequencing of it. Furthermore, it offers lots of special bonuses and a running time of over 70 minutes. The 14th CD-release of Caldera Records features a detailed booklet-text by Gergely Hubai and elegant artwork by Luis Miguel Rojas. The CD was produced by Stephan Eicke and John Elborg. Bonus Features - different sequencing than the Milan CD - including several cues never released before - an extensive essay by the films director Mick Davis about working with Guy Farley - an arrangement for violin and piano as written score - a new recording of the key themes for cello and piano, recorded at AIR Studios in London - the handwritten score for the main theme included in the booklet - an audio commentary by Guy Farley - complete new mastering resulting in better audio quality - the first 100 copies are signed by Guy Farley, every retailer (who wanted them) has a certain amount available as indicated on their website Music Composed and Conducted by Guy Farley Album Produced by Stephan Eicke Executive Producers for Caldera Records: John Elborg, Stephan Eicke Recorded at AIR Studios London Orchestrated by Andrew Pearce Theme from Modigliani Arrangement for cello and piano Cello: Josephine Knight Piano: Huw Watkins Modigliani 1. 4. Caldera Records is proud to present the original score for the television movie Maria di Nazaret from 2012, directed by Giacomo Campiotti. The two part movie was a huge success in Italy as it recounts the story of Jesus’ mother Maria and accompanies her throughout the life of the son of God until his death on the cross. Maria was played by internationally acclaimed actress Paz Vega who rose to fame after her role in the Adam Sandler movie Spanglish. The music for Maria di Nazaret was written by British composer and conductor Guy Farley (Secret Sharer, Modigliani) who delivers probably his most diverse score to date, featuring lush orchestral melodies for orchestra and choir as well as female vocals and solos for ethnic instruments, played by Tony Hinnigan (Braveheart). Additionally, we included another score by Farley on the CD: L’uomo che sognava con l’aquile was written for an extensive Italian television production with Terence Hill which gathered raving reviews after its premiere in 2006. Also, we present a bonus cue with the much beloved track Reunited from the Jean Claude van Damme movie Wake of Death which receives its premiere release here. The tenth CD-release of Caldera Records features a detailed booklet-text by Stephan Eicke and elegant artwork by Luis Miguel Rojas. The CD was produced by Stephan Eicke and John Elborg. It should be cherished and universally loved. It’s the type of score that I thought was just a part of the past, but turns out there’s hope for our younger generations too if more scores like this is allowed to be released. Needless to say, this is a stunning score that ticks all the right boxes. Buy this CD and a box of tissues and you’ll be a happy camper." http://www.soundtrackgeek.com/v2/soundtrack-review-maria-di-nazaret/ "“Maria di Nazaret” is one of the most intimate and beautiful score I’ve heard in a while. The subtle and melodic piano strokes are like drops of rain in the desert. You almost can’t believe they are real. The female choral parts give me shivers and the ambient moments are soft and intense like a prayer. Guy Farley wrote a musical fairytale that I just want to put in a glass globe and have with me all the time. I stand by the two names I mentioned in the beginning: this is a score John Barry would have written after a meeting with Ennio Morricone and it’s amazing to find a composer worthy of that legacy. Get this score and welcome it into your life…" http://www.soundtrackdreams.com/2015/07/soundtrack-review-maria-di-nazaret-guy-farley-2012/ For more information visit: http://caldera-records.com/portfolio/maria-di-nazaret/gallery/soundtracks/
