The premier release of Dracula 2000 is over 70 glorious minutes in length!
Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde is over 54 minutes in length.
Deadly Friend is Varese's older LP release transferred from master tape.
The Serpent And The Rainbow's mysterious track order has been corrected.
A Nightmare On Elm Street is the 17 track version. The exclusive expanded album is on Varese's Nightmare box set.

Kritzerland is proud to present a 2CD set at a 1CD price – the first release of the complete score to:
PARIS WHEN IT SIZZLES
Composed and Conducted by Nelson Riddle
What does it take for Paris to Sizzle? Well, add one part William Holden, one part Audrey Hepburn, appearances by Noel Coward, Tony Curtis and Marlene Dietrich, a screenplay by George Axelrod (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Manchurian Candidate), and direction by Richard Quine, a delectable score by Nelson Riddle, and you have a recipe for Sizzle indeed. And yet critics were, for the most part, dismissive. It’s hard to imagine why when watching it now, which is probably why it has a legion of fans who understand and appreciate the spoofery and the star wattage of Holden and Hepburn. In fact, the film is like a frothy, sparkling glass of champagne, a cream puff, and a real delight.
Helping to bring the film to effervescent life is the eclectic and fun score by Nelson Riddle. One can only imagine that Riddle had a field day with this score, getting not only to underscore the film proper, with its gorgeous themes, but also to underscore the movie parodies and to create some wonderful source cues. His main romantic theme is one of his best, and the score is kind of the poster child for how to write a great score for a comedy. It’s a delight from start to finish and a perfect example of what nobody did better than Riddle.
For this release, for the first time ever, we present the entire score on CD 1 (including the wonderful Fred Astaire vocal on “That Face”), all beautifully restored by Chris Malone from all the elements in the Paramount Pictures vaults. On CD 2 we present alternates and bonus tracks, followed by the original Reprise LP soundtrack presentation – the complete score and the album presentation are in sparkling stereo.
So, take a trip to the City of Light and prepare to be entranced and captivated by Nelson Riddle’s wonderful score to Paris When it Sizzles.
Paris When it Sizzles is limited to 1000 copies only and is priced at $19.98, plus shipping.
CDs will ship by the first week of December, but we’ve actually been averaging three to five weeks early in terms of shipping ahead of the official ship date. -

FIGHTER SQUADRON is what some film music fans refer to as a “barn burner”. Composer Max Steiner goes all out with jaunty marches, spirited comedy motifs, and rousing action sequences for this 1948 tribute to the Army Air Corps during the Second World War. Director Raoul Walsh took the brakes off this free-flying re-working of THE DAWN PATROL with the accent on domineering officers, girl-chasing non-coms and thrilling enemy encounters,. While Steiner revives his famous DIVE BOMBER march, the presentation here is far more aggressive and it is presented in a superb-sounding recording. Brilliant fidelity is matched by a sweeping symphonic presentation that will leave you breathless by score’s end. Recorded at Warner Bros. with orchestrations by Murray Cutter and conducted by Max Steiner.
In addition to the soundtrack itself, the album features a 24 page full-color booklet with essays by James V. D’Arc and Ray Faiola, as well as a generous amount of original photographs and publicity material. Disc mastering by Ray Faiola, Chelsea Rialto Studios. Package design by Jim Titus.

9/27/2016
As much as I admit that The Ten Commandments is a magnificent score, I must go out on my own limb and say that next week’s new release will actually get more playtime from me… at least for awhile. And yes, of course, I find Elmer Bernstein’s biblical epic to be a certified masterpiece. There’s no comparison being made here. I refer only to something nostalgic from my childhood. In any case, I try not to stir up too much enthusiasm for an upcoming release because excessive buildup often leads to disappointment. But here I go anyway.
For those of you who enjoy big-scale scores for large orchestra by big name composers with a history of masterpieces, the new release this coming Tuesday will probably interest you. It’s a complete 2-CD restoration to a magnificent score from some five decades ago. Expanded brass, lots of percussion, expanded woodwinds, all manner of low strings… an angled, dramatic main theme, intense action music… yep, some great stuff. It’s also a “roadshow” presentation so you’ll be getting overture, brief intermission card, entr’acte and exit cues.
Anyway, when I was a kid and saw the movie I absolutely worshipped the brass fanfare that concluded the overture and also ushered in the ending to the first half of the movie. But when it reappeared to close out the picture, I was delirious. It’s a sharply angled piece that leads with five trumpets over percussion. Soon six French horns respond, then five trombones, even a tuba... and it’s a just a knockout! Maybe a bit of Copland but more savage and austere. More reminiscent actually of another more-celebrated masterwork by this composer from earlier in the decade. Just a piece of music? Maybe. A short bit of noisy brass? Perhaps. But let me hear it again and again. I actually made every friend who came down to our studio a couple of months ago suffer through it, literally cranked up to eleven. I didn’t even feel guilty when their ears bled.
Anyway, this one’s for me. I financed the project simply because I wanted to be able to play this entire score at long last. I’m no longer that little kid but I am still a worshipper for this music. The entire score is in vivid stereo from multi-track masters that were vaulted in perfect condition, too. So I guess I’ve built this one up enough. Will it live up to this reputation? Maybe not for everyone else. That’s ok. I have my copy in hand.-

MV Gerhard bei FSM:
We sold more copies of Ferris Bueller in 12 hours than we have over the past year on titles like Dances with Wolves and Braveheart. Lots of new customers as well as a familiar names. Thank you all for a stellar release day, quite possibly the best release day of all time for a single title. We are getting to the orders as quickly as we possibly can. Thank you for your patience.
