Ich mach mal weiter mit Steiner: - Flame and the arrow (BYU) - John Paul Jones / Parrish (FSM)

Gute Idee, ich chille gerade bei Don Ellis´French Connection .......OHMMMMMMMMM! Das war ich, läuft gerade gut und ich wollte Hilde mal nach all seinen Friedhofer-Zukäufen toppen

Nachdem mir ein Freund vor ein paar Wochen seine Rozsa-Box ausgeliehen hat weil er meine Leier von der etwas sprunghaften und krümeligen Zusammenstellung dieser Box nicht mehr hören konnte und ich mir die Zeit genommen habe etwas intensiver zu wühlen bin ich doch umgefallen und hab mir das Teil zugelegt. Auch das minimalistische Design wie bei allen FSM-Box Sets gefällt @ Laubwoelfin Schön auch die französische Übersetzung für "High noon": Der Zug pfiff drei Mal (le train sifflera trois fois)

Durch die VÖ der Doppeldecker hat sich das Set mit seiner Dreingabe an unveröffentlichten Cues irgendwie überlebt. Toll aber das umfangreiche Booklet (wenn man es denn so noch nennen darf) mit Storyboards und Photos der Recording Sessions. Für mich auch heute noch absolut "colectable" und daran ändert auch nichts, das das Teil noch nicht in preislich fernen Galaxien gelandet ist.

Ich sag's mal so : Mir waren damals andere Scores wichtiger und Williams stand nie ganz oben bei mir . Aber wenn sich Gelegenheit auftut füll ich auch heute noch die ein oder andere Lücke.

Ray Charles war nie besser, was auch für Lalo gilt, dessen 60er Scores ich wirklich superb finde.

Toller Film in dem es um die Liebe eines kleinen Jungen zu einem Kampfstier geht. Er schafft es Schlußendlich das Tier (obwohl bereits in der Arena) zu retten. Hab mich damals obgleich völlig ahnungslos in die Musik verliebt.

Die Box enthält auf den ersten drei CDs ohnehin nur bereits veröffentlichtes Material. Bei den interessanteren CDs 4 - 5 gibt es noch echte Schmankerl: The detective, Anna and the King of Siam, A tree grows in Brooklyn und natürlich damnation alley.

For those who may find yourselves in the Los Angeles area in early May, we hope you will join us for the American Youth Symphony's first installment of The Elfman Project on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at UCLA's Royce Hall. After a highly successful three-year presentation of The Goldsmith Project, the AYS and The Film Music Society are teaming up again for the first installment of a three-year exploration of the music of Danny Elfman. At 4 pm, a symposium co-sponsored by The Film Music Society will feature an on-stage discussion between Elfman and film music journalist Jon Burlingame, and will also feature David Newman conducting the AYS in excerpts from Elfman's score for Errol Morris' 2008 critically acclaimed documentary Standard Operating Procedure. At 7 pm, the American Youth Symphony concert will offer a first act of selections by Stravinsky and Bartok, conducted by Alexander Treger. The second act, hosted by Burlingame, will feature David Newman conducting excerpts from Elfman's scores for Sommersby, Edward Scissorhands (with film) and Batman. Der Hinweis ist: first full album d.h. es müsste ein Komponist sein der auf einem der drei Amazing stories Alben vertreten ist.

Hier mal etwas aus einer Zeit als man noch mit richtigen Instrumenten und Musikern arbeitete......und auch noch toll komponierte

C´est trop cher en tout cas: Punkt 1: wenn das Teil für reguläre 99 € bei Tarantula angeboten wird, warum lass ich mich dann auf eine Auktion ein (sollte dann ja doch spütbar günstiger sein) Punkt 2: guckst du bei Gemm.com kriegst du die Box (sealed) für 75 $. Das Teil ist weder ausverkauft noch sonderlich rar insofern ist das für mich schon ein Zeichen von Bieterwahn und damit....krank
