On March 15, Deutsche Grammophon will release “Celebrating John Williams”, a 2CD set recorded during the four concerts of Williams music conducted by Gustavo Dudamel last month at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The album will include the first official release of ‘Adagio for Strings from The Force Awakens‘, a new concert arrangement of music from the seventh Star Wars score premiered by Williams in 2018.

Das hier ist dann das bisher unveröffentlichte Adagio for Strings (Beginn nach der Anmoderation bei 8:02). Und Marion's Theme ist die zweite Aufnahme von Williams' neuer Konzertversion. Das Konzertarrangement von 'Marion' halte ich für das schönste und inspirierteste, was Williams je aus seinen Filmthemen rausgeholt hat.
