Director Michael J. Bassett has recently announced on his official blog that Jeff Danna and Akira Yamaoka are set to reunite to score the upcoming sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The movie based on the horror video game stars Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Malcolm McDowell and Carrie-Anne Moss. Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger return as their characters from the first Silent Hill installment. The film’s story centers on a young woman who is plagued by terrifying nightmares and her father’s disappearance and discovers, on the eve of her 18th birthday, that she’s not who she thinks she is. Don Carmody (Resident Evil: Apocalypse & Afterlife) and Samuel Hadida (True Romance) are producing the project through Davis-Films. Both composer have previously worked on the 2006 movie directed by Christophe Gans and Yamaoka has also scored the video game series that the movies are based on. Michael J. Bassett most recently collaborated with composer Klaus Badelt on the fantasy adventure Solomon Kane. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is currently in post production and is expected to be released next year.

As previously reported, Jeff Danna’s other upcoming projects include Thin Ice (previously entitled The Convincer) and The Expatriate starring Aaron Eckhart.

ja nett, aber dass da wirklich wieder alle mit bei sind? War doch nen Flop, dass da nun nen Sequel kommt? Ich fand den Film ja sehr stimmungsvoll, wenn auch wenig verständlich... naja, Musik? War ja nur Sounddesign und das doch eigentlich total spärlich... aber nun denn, bin gespannt...

Super, da freue ich mich gleich noch mehr auf den Film.

Wie bei Teil 1 werden bestimmt wieder zahlreiche Themen und Cues der Spiele für den Film aufbereitet, was bei dem vorhandenen Material eine wahre Freude sein muss. Ich hoffe auf Grioßes Kino und dichte Atmosphäre.

Es gibt ein Soundtrack! Es kommt auf CD! Bald!

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack album for the horror sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Danna and Akira Yamaoka who preciously scored the first installment in the film series based on the video game. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 30, 2012. A physical release is scheduled to come out in December and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check back on this page for audio clips. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is directed by Michael J. Bassett and stars Sean Bean, Deborah Kara Unger, Radha Mitchell, Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell. also wenn der eine gezeigte clip das niveau des ganzen films repräsentiert dann gute nacht. das war ja wohl miserabel.und ich liebe teil 1.

bin auch unentschlossen was ich davon halten soll, einerseits sieht vieles sehr gut aus, andererseits vieles echt mies... wahrscheinlich wirds nur ne bessere direct to video produktion, die es nur mit dem 3D noch ins Kino geschafft hat...

immerhin sind ja viele vom ersten Teil vor und hinter der Kamera wieder dabei...

Das Album gibt es ja seit Ende Oktober... die CD verschiebt sich nur immer wieder Hörproben sind daher schon bekannt.

Hat jemand Infos zum Scorerelease zum 1. Silent Hill Film?

 

Im Oktober 2012 meinte Jeff Danna das dieser evtl. mit dem DVD Release von "SH: Revelation 3D" erscheinen wird...

 

I spoke to an executive producer at the SH2 premiere , who told me that
they were working on releasing it with the SH2 DVD next
year......nothing set in stone yet , but they are thinking about it..
