Anne Dudley is currently working on the music for the upcoming new film adaptation of the classic musical Les Miserables featuring the music composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg. The film is helmed by Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech) and stars Hugh Jackman in the lead role of Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, Eddie Redmayne as Marius and Helena Bonham Carter & Sacha Baron Cohen as Mr. and Mrs. Thernardier. Williams Nicholson (Gladiator, First Knight) has written the screenplay with Schonberg and Alain Boubill based on the novel by Victor Hugo. Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Love Actually), Debra Hayward and Cameron Mackintosh are producing the Working Title Films and Cameron Mackintosh production. According to a recent article in Variety, Dudley, whose credits include the Academy Award-winning score for The Full Monty, will be producing the recording sessions with a 70-piece orchestra, which are set to take place in October in London and Schonberg is composing new underscore for bits between the songs. Schonberg has also penned the new original song Suddenly with lyricist Alain Boubill. Universal Pictures will release Les Miserables on December 14, 2012. Republic Records will release the official soundtrack album for Tom Hooper’s new film adaptation of Les Miserables. Also Crow muss ich schon in Schutz nehmen. Er hat nicht dieses klassische Vibrato in der Stimme wie viele der anderen Sänger im Film. Aber ich war von ihm total beeindruckt! Ich liebe seine Stimme. Die hat eine Stärke und Durchsetzungskraft. Die ist einfach nur wunderbar sauber und kräftig. Auch bei meinem Lieblingssong aus dem Film hört man das sehr gut wie ich finde :

Die Stimme ist ja auch schön, aber gesanglich funktioniert das meiner Meinung nach - gerade im Vergleich mit Jackman - leider überhaupt nicht, das klingt für mich eher wie Rap und nach MC Crowe
