Meine DAVID COPPERFIELD-LP habe ich an 2002 von Arnold, als er für einen Tag in Düsseldorf weilte, signieren lassen. Leider war sein Gesundheitszustand damals bereits so schlecht, daß er gar nicht mehr richtig schreiben konnnte und ihm sein Assistent dabei noch die Hand führen mußte. Heraus kam dann ein ziemlich unleserliches Gekritzel auf meinem Plattencover. Das war insgesamt ein ziemlich skurriler Abend. Von GREAT EXPECTATIONS habe ich auch die LP seit vielen, vielen Jahren. Ist ein schöner romantischer Jarre, leider nie so richtig bekannt geworden wie anderes von ihm. Lohnt sich schon, wenn man seine typische Handschrift mag.

Was für eine geniale Veröffentlichung! COPPERFIELD ist ein so wundervoll ergreifender, lyrischer Score. Die Neu-Aufnahme von Morgan/Stromberg hat ihre Qualitäten, aber diese Aufnahme von Arnold selber ist nochmal was anderes. Der Jarre ist mir noch völlig unbekannt, und ich bin sehr gespannt, was mich da erwartet.

Jo, ein Score wie man es von Michael, ähnlich wie bei Super 8 & Co., erwartet und kennt. Verspielt, geheimnisvoll, mysteriös, gewohnt auf Retro und hier und da mal was neues. Beim 1. Durchgang ist mir nicht viel hängengeblieben (leider) und auch sonst tu ich mich schwer, nochmal reinzuhören. Evtl. ändert sich das wenn ich den Film geschaut habe...

Trotzdem ein sehr schönes Stück. Hoffe, sie bringen das zum Download raus. Oder eine schöne Sampler CD mit ähnlichen Stücken über das Fliegen, oder Americana Pathos , zusammen mit anderen Komponisten. Wäre cool!

Der Score ist jetzt eine Woche vor Kinostart schon raus... ganz nett, viel Suspense, relativ wenig Action... alles nicht neu von Giacchino, aber in manchen Actionhorrormomente doch verspielter und origineller als seine Jurassic World Dinger... versucht so ein wenig Amblin Feeling der 80er zu verbreiten... hat auch was von Broughton... frag mich ja schon, was das so für ein Film sein soll, die Trailer sehen ja nach Jurassic World 15 aus, aber ich glaube die Dinos sind gar nicht so viel dabei...

Relativ unspektakuläre Gebrauchsmusik mit wie gewohnt recycelten Einfällen, für den Anlass mit viel Pathos aufgetragen. Wie man großsymphonische Musik für solche Dokus kennt.

Am 14.08.2026 erscheint auf Hulu / Disney+ in den USA eine vollständig überarbeitete Version des zweiten Akte X Kinofilms "I want to believe" mit dem Zusatz "Vrach Frankenstheyn" welche vorallem die Horrorfilm-Elemente zurückbringen soll, welche Chris Carter 2008 auf Drängen der Verantwortlichen von Fox entfernen musste um ein PG-13 Rating zu erhalten. Wann die überarbeitete Version auch in Deutschland erscheinen wird und wie die Synchronisierung gestaltet sein wird, ist aktuell noch nicht bekannt. Interessant…. Ich mag Debney’s Musik (als WeihnachtsScore) ja recht gerne. Aber ist die Nachfrage (im Sommer) wirklich so hoch, dass sich eine weitere Auflage lohnt?!🙊😅

Snow Files of the Week: "Candy" aus "MillenniuM", Episode "Closure" (1998). In dieser Staffel-Drei-Folge wird Special Agent Emma Hollis mit ihrer Vergangenheit konfrontiert und mit dem gewaltsamen Tod ihrer jüngeren Schwester. Frank Black hilft ihr dabei, diesen Fall zu einem Abschluß zu bringen und ihre inneren Dämonen zu bekämpfen. Mark komponierte ein weiteres tolles Piano-Thema für Emmas seelische Reise. Dieses Thema wird in der Folge "Seven And One" wieder aufgegriffen. Der Track stammt vom ersten Set mit MillenniuM-Musik, welches LLL veröffentlicht hat. Das Set war lange Zeit bereits ausverkauft, bevor es erneut aufgelegt wurde, limitiert auf 1.000 Stück. Aber auch die zweite Auflage ist mittlerweile ausverkauft. Viel Spaß beim Hören!

Das kann ich unterschreiben. Bei mir ist das gleiche Problem mit dem gleichen Absendedatum. Meine Bestellung letzte Woche aus dem Sale kam schon Anfang dieser Woche an, also ist es kein grundsätzliches Problem. Das scheint wirklich eine kuriose Geschichte zu sein. Ja, die Infos von MBR sind vorbildlich. Wie ich verstanden habe, hat DHL einen Sack voller Express Sendungen fehlgeleitet. Bzw. scheint etwas dubioses damit passiert zu sein. Ich administriere einen Webshop und da war mal ähnliches der Fall: Ein DHL Lkw war verunglückt und alle Briefsendungen waren im Kofferauflieger zerstört. Naja, passiert, wenn auch selten. Kriminalität ist auch gelegentlich ein Grund, dass Briefe und Pakete beim Empfänger nicht ankommen.

Da muss es bei dir ein anderes Problem geben. Habe diese Woche und vor drei Wochen zwei Sendungen von MBR ohne Probleme binnen weniger Tage per DHL bekommen.

Im Moment scheint es aber Probleme mit DHL Global Mail in Frankreich zu geben. Meine Bestellung ist seit dem 15. Juli "unterwegs" Allerdings verschickt MBR vorbildlich Status-Meldungen an die betroffenen Kunden

Ich schaue aktuell Staffel 1 .. und muss zugeben, dass die Musik (als Souvenir zur Serie) ihren Reiz hat

Das CD Cover ist in der Tat eines der internationalen Plakat Motive, bzw. das USA Motiv einer Beilage. Es ist nicht korrekt überliefert, ob Renato Casaro Sean Connery als Bond hier gezeichnet hat. Die Frauen sind auf alle Fälle von ihm. Das Motiv mit dem weißen Hintergrund ist eine von Renato Casaro gezeichnete Version für den westdeutschen Markt. Es gibt zwar Abversionen mit anderer Bildkomposition, aber das Motiv was auch auf der Rückseite der SILVA CD ist, ist das rein Deutsche.
