Was das wohl kosten wird... Wundert mich, dass der erste Teil eine CD mehr bekommt. Dabei ist ja der zweite Film länger. Gibt da womöglich mehr Demos und Alternates.

Er mochte es wohl irgendwie immer noch etwas technisch nachzhelfen und nicht immer fällt es leicht herauszufinden, was nun echt ist und was nicht bei ihm. Was haltet ihr denn so von ihm? Hui oder Pfui? Kennt denn jemand was von seiner Musik vor der Filmmusikkarriere?

Oje, wer hat denn danach gefragt? Ist ja zumindest was, dass jemand aus dem Original-Film dabei ist, wobei William Baldwin nun auch nicht die Bilderbuchkarriere vorzuweisen hat. Wenn das Randy Edelman reizt oder er machen muss aus finanziellen Gründen...viel kam ja nicht mehr von ihm die letzten Jahre, aber ist ja auch nicht mehr der Jüngste.

Der Film scheint ja laut den ersten Kritiken auch nicht wirklich gut geworden zu sein leider. Wurde ja mitunter aber auch erwartet. Das der Score etwas moderner klingen würde, war aber bei der Wahl des Komponisten ja aber eigentlich auch klar. Ja da steckt schon auch etwas Steve Jablonsky drin, was manche "Klänge" so betrifft. Das Problem beim ersten Hören mag womöglich sein, dass das Album schon sehr laut beginnt und es erst dann etwas ruhiger wird und man sich auf die Suche nach thematischen Ankern begeben kann.

Wer ist denn der Dirigent? Ist es denn üblich neuerdings, dass die sitzen? Interessant, dass an dem Tag ja wohl wirklich nur Streicherparts aufgenommen wurden.

Was gefällt dir denn gerade an dem? Ja es ist echt ganz nett, aber da kann ich beispielsweise dem Opener "Tirailleur" mehr abgewinnen. Generell gelingt dem Album eine gute Mischung aus wuchtigen Actiontracks wie "French Fog" oder "Triumph" und ruhigeren Stücken wie zum Beispiel "Norway". Das mag zuweilen handwerklich oder kompositorisch nicht ganz so feinfühlig bzw. komplex, besonders in den Actiontracks, sein, erfüllt aber seinen Zweck. Vielleicht ist da dann "Spitfire" ja eine (positive) Ausnahme, weil der dann doch noch ein paar Nuancen in der Instrumentierung setzt.

WIll auch heute Abend mal Reinhören. Die ersten Minuten klingen schon sehr vielversprechend. Was die Reihe betrifft bin ich da noch relativ jungfräulich. Ich kenne eigentlich nur das bekannte Theme. Ist das eigentlich von Joel Eriksson oder wer hat das ursprünglich mal komponiert? Wird es denn bei dem digitalen Release bleiben oder kommt da manchma auch noch eine CD?
