Immer ruhig bleiben, ausser der Ankündigung und einigen Details gibts ja noch nüschte zu besprechen. Sobald die CD-Box bestellbar ist und dann gehört wird, gibts hier sicher auch mehr zu lesen. Im Zweifelsfall über lange Lieferzeiten, Detail-Schlampereien in Ton und Gestaltung oder auch, dass das sicher eine tolle Veröffentlichung ist, aber User X die garnicht braucht" B)

First off, thank you everybody for joining our mailing list and for helping us determine what the amount of the limited edition run will be.

We are now able to officially announce that this 15-CD box set will be released as a limited edition of 6000 units.

The retail price will be $224.98

"La-La Land Records will officially release the 15-CD "STAR TREK THE ORIGINAL SERIES SOUNDTRACK COLLECTION" on Dec 4th at 1pm (PST) on our website www.lalalandrecords.com

As announced previously, the set will be limited to 6000 Units and will be priced at $224.98

The set contains 636 tracks of astounding TREK music. With a running time of 17 hours, 18 minutes and 17 seconds.

Hat sich eigentlich hier noch jemand für den La-La Land-"Star Trek"-Email-Newsletter registriert (und seine Email-Adresse bestätigt)? Ich finde es schon interessant, dass solche Infos statt über diesen Newsletter immer noch nur im FSM-Forum verbreitet werden. Wie hieß es da noch: "join the STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES SOUNDTRACK MAILING LIST to receive important forthcoming information and announcements regarding the release, such as the official release date, the number of units pressed, pricing and much more!" Bla bla bla... :)

Ich geh mal davon aus, dass mehr produziert wird, als es registrierte E-mails gibt. Somit ist es mir egal, ob es die Infos per E-mail gäbe, bei FSM gibt oder ich sie eh hier lese. ;) Das wichtigste ist, sie steht bald in meinem Regal. :D

Ein paar meiner ersten Eindrücke zu der Verpackung der Box aus diesem Thread.

 

Zu der Verpackung der Box an sich: leider nur durchschnittlich. Die dicke Innenhülle der Season 3 Box war total zerbröselt - ohne sichtbare äußerliche Schäden. Es handelt sich um drei 6-CD-Cases, die mit jeweils 5 CDs gefüllt sind. Ein dickeres Booklet liegt auch noch drin - und drückt sich kräftig in die Noppen der Halterung für die sechste CD. Naja, die kaputte Hülle war schnell ersetzt. Einige der CDs haben ein paar ganz leichte Kratzer, sogar radial. Und die saßen fest in der Hülle. Damit habe ich bei La-La Land allerdings schon gerechnet. In den letzten Jahren hatte ich mit gerade diesem Label sehr viele Ausfälle. Billig-Presswerk. Aber alle CDs liegen als FLAC schon auf der Platte, alle ließen sich fehlerlos mit EAC einlesen. Auch der Druck bzw. die Pappe der Pappbox scheint anscheinend extrem empfindlich. Bei dem Preis habe ich da qualitativ doch etwas mehr Liebe von La-La Land erwartet.

 

Klanglich ist aber alles wirklich top! Wer die alten Crescendo-CDs kennt, dem wird der Unterkiefer runterklappen! :)
