Based on the life stories of the eccentric aunt (Jessica Lange) and first cousin (Drew Barrymore) of Jackie Kennedy (both named Edith Bouvier Beale aka Big and Little Edie) raised as Park Avenue débutantes but who withdrew from New York society, taking shelter at their Long Island summer home, Grey Gardens. As their wealth and contact with the outside world dwindled, so did their grasp on reality. They were reintroduced to the world when international tabloids learned of a health department raid on their home, and Jackie (Jeanne Tripplehorn) swooped in to save her relatives.

Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman provides the poignant score.

HBO will premiere GREY GARDENS on April 18.

Léa has educated the spoilt and callow boy in the ways of love, but after six years Madame Peloux has secretly arranged a marriage between Chéri and Edmée (Felicity Jones), daughter of another rich courtesan. As the inevitable moment of parting approaches, Léa and Chéri try to come to terms with their imminent separation, but the roots of their life of ease and pleasure reach deeper than even they imagine and they begin to understand, too late, how much they mean to one another. CHÉRI is the latest film from Oscar-nominated director Stephen Frears (The Queen, The Grifters).

The sumptuous score is by Oscar nominee, Alexandre Desplat.

CHÉRI will begin an International rollout across Europe this April, and will arrive in U.S. theatres this June.

Audrey Tautou (Amelie, The Da Vinci Code) stars as legendary fashion designer Coco Chanel in this biopic penned by director Anne Fontaine and screenwriter Camille Fontaine in collaboration with Christopher Hampton. Based on the Chanel biography LIrreguliere (The Nonconformist) by author Edmonde Charles-Roux, Coco Avant Chanel features dresses from the Chanel collection. House of Chanel art director Karl Lagerfeld supervised the creation of accessories and costumes.

The sumptuous and beautifully tailored score for the film was composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and performed by The London Symphony Orchestra.

Warner Bros. will begin an international rollout of Coco Avant Chanel in France on April 22. Sony Classics will distribute in America.

Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass sie auch paramounts G.I. Joe score veröffentlichen werden. Das wäre der burner.

Sieht in der Tat sehr vielversprechend aus. Auf die Desplats freue ich mich, auf den Giacchino sowieso. Mal sehen, was Gregson-Williams aus Wolverine macht.

Ich höre sie mir nicht an Höchsten lesen werd ich hier, was für einen Eindruck die anderen haben, aber ich versuche mal, mich überraschen zu lassen.

Für mich ist nur irgendwie blöd, das der Veröffentlichungstermin der CD, und auch der Filmstart, genau in die Zeit fallen, in der ich Urlaub mache.

Werde dann wohl etwas später in den Genuß der Musik kommen.

Und was den Film betrifft, tja da muß ich dann zur Not bis zur DVD-Veröffentlichung warten.

Ich erinnere mal z.B. an das Coverpic von THE THREE MUSKETEERS von Kamen... anno 1993. Schon damals war dieses Design ein alter Hut:

Ja gut, ziemlich einfallslos ist das Cover schon, das stimmt. Aber so schlimm finde ich es garnicht. Vor allem, wenn dies das einzige Manko dieses Albums sein sollte. Wenn die Musik stimmt, ist mir der Rest egal.

Man kann sich ja auch noch selbst ein anderes Cover basteln. Ich bin darin zwar nicht so begabt, aber einige andere andere ganz bestimmt.

Aber warum den job von jemand anderen machen und dafür nichtmal geld kriegen?

Ich gehe aber mal davon aus, dass bei diesen veröffentlichungen das label eher wenig input in solche dinge bekommt. Da wird die gewohnt schlechte marketingabteilung von paramount sehr viel einfluss darauf ausüben welches artwork wofür verwendet wird.

Ich pesönlich habe diese Art der Gestaltung schon immer gehasst, es gibt Fälle bei denen es Sinn macht, "Urteil von Nürnberg" vielleicht, aber das ist in der Regel die Ausnahme.

Hier noch was aus dem Gruselkabinett, die hohe Kunst der "Kopfkette" wenn man so will.

Das grottige cover konnte mich übrigens nicht davon abhalten star trek (und natürlich night at the museum 2) bei colosseum vorzubestellen

Ice Age 3 müsste dann vareses nächster großer coup werden.
