Daredevil gehört wieder Marvel..

 

 

We had assumed as much anyway after Fox failed to meet the deadline to get a new Daredevil movie going and lost out on the rights to the character, but we had never heard anything official from either studio on the matter until now. Speaking with Newsarama yesterday at the Iron Man 3 press junket, Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige confirmed to the site that the Daredevil rights are indeed now under the Disney/Marvel umbrella. Although that seems to be all he had to say on the matter as Newsarama report: "While Feige told us about the rights reversion, he gave no indication of what, if anything, Marvel Studios has planned for Daredevil at this point."

Joss Whedon am Rande der IM3 Premiere:

Last week, Marvel's The Avengers writer/director Joss Whedon dropped some interesting details about the upcoming sequel to the film, including the addition of a brother/sister team. The director has now spoken with Desde Hollywood and has teased some more about what we can expect, but first he spoke about whether Robert Downey Jr. will return as Tony Stark.

"I am not the guy who has to worry about him being replaced. He is Iron Man at this point. When I heard that he was cast I knew that something had just changed, and I usually don't know stuff like that. I was like 'Now we are in a new phase.' The way he embodies it… I love working with him. He is so perfect for it, Shane captures it so perfectly in this movie.

"I want him to play it forever. The great thing is that he has a flying metal suit. So it's not like those Charles Bronson or Roger Moore movies where you're like 'Dude, you can barely stand.' He’s got some fight in him. At the same time, if Robert decides to hang it up, he has a perfectly good excuse."

When asked why The Avengers should worry about Thanos, Whedon teased this:

"Well, Thanos is more powerful. He is so powerful, he is not someone you can just trot out and punch him. Like he did in the comics, you want him to be threading through the universe and to save the big finale for the big finale. He is definitely a part of what I've got going on. The thing about the Avengers is that they are very powerful, but they're not very stable. So, there will definitely be some people that will shake them up in the next installment."

The site suggests that this could mean Thanos won't be defeated until a third "Avengers" film, but this is just speculation. Check out the full interview below.

The crux of the negotiations argument is that Robert Downey Jr. is their flagship star, and he’s still comparatively under-compensated (though he was paid $50 million for “The Avengers,” the four films he has appeared in for Marvel have grossed $3.4 billion dollars together). This will be a big sticking point for Marvel who clearly thinks they are probably paying him enough. Anyhow, when asked about the future films starring Tony Stark, Kevin Feige says Marvel can live on without Robert Downey Jr.

“I believe there will be a fourth ‘Iron Man’ and a fifth, sixth and a 10^th and a 20^th,” he told EW. “I see no reason why Tony Stark can’t be as evergreen as James Bond, Batman, or for that matter, Spider-Man.”

In "Big Hero 6" geht es um den talentierten Jungen namens Hiro Hamada und seinen selbst konstruierten Roboter Baymax, welcher hinter eine Verschwörung kommen ihre Heimatstadt San Fransokyo (San Franciso + Tokyo) zu zerstören. Um dies zu verhindern schließen sie sich einem Superhelden-Team an.

Das Team besteht neben Hamada und Baymax aus dem Mutanten Silver Samurai (wird auch im kommenden Film "Wolverine: Der Weg des Kriegers" zu sehen sein), dem ehemaligen X-Men Sunfire , dem Hitzkopf GoGo Tamgo, der Magierin Honey Lemon, dem von den Toten zurückgekehrten Ebon Samurai, Sunpyre aus dem Microverse sowie Wasabi-No-Ginger und Fred alias Fredzilla.

Regisseur Don Hall ("Winnie Puuh" 2011) will hierbei den gleichen Comic-Stiel sowie das gleiche Ausmaß von Action und Humor in dem Film präsentieren. Big Hero 6 soll am 7. November 2014 in 3D in den US-Kinos zu sehen sein.

Da könnte sich ein wirklich guter Cast für "Guardians of the Galaxy" entwickeln.

 

Neben John C Reilly, Glenn Close, Chris Pratt und Zoe Saldana ist nun auch Benicio Del Toro in weit fortgeschrittenen Gesprächen. Er soll sogar einen Vertrag über mehrere Filme unterschreiben.. auf deren Wunschliste ist außerdem noch Alan Rickman, Hugh Laurie und Ken Watanabe. 

 

 

Guardians Of The Galaxy's casting drive continues to go from strength to strength, with Benicio Del Toro the latest big name to sign on to the Marvel extravaganza.

Marvel is keeping extremely tight-lipped as to who Del Toro will be playing, but the part is thought to be one of the leading roles, as opposed to a Samuel L. Jackson-eque cameo.

Intriguingly, Deadline reports that the star has signed a multi-picture deal, with a view to his character reappearing in further Marvel movies. Make of that what you will…

Del Toro follows hot on the heels of recent additions Glenn Close and Karen Gillan, with John C. Reilly also in advanced negotiations, and Ken Watanabe, Hugh Laurie and Alan Rickman all on the studio's wish-list.

 

Directed by James Gunn and co-starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.

Irgendwie scheint mir langsam Bryan Singers "X-Men: Days of Future Past" zu einer Art Mutanten-Modeschau zu werden:

 

 

Der mexikanische Schauspieler Adan Canto ist beim zweiten X-Men-Prequel "X-Men: Days of Future Past" dabei. Blieb seine Rolle bisher offen, verdichten sich nun die Hinweise, dass er den Mutanten Roberto da Costa a.k.a. "Sunspot" mimen wird.

Er ist dabei, soviel war klar. Welche Rolle Adan Canto in Bryan Singers ("Operation Walküre - Das Stauffenberg-Attentat") Mutanten-Spektakel "X-Men: Days of Future Past" übernehmen soll, blieb jedoch bis zuletzt offen. Nun bestätigte der Schauspieler via Twitter, dass er in die Rolle Roberto da Costas alias "Sunspot" schlüpfen wird. Zwar wurde der Tweet schnell wieder gelöscht, doch es sieht ganz so aus, als dürften die Mutanten ein neues Mitglied in ihren Reihen begrüßen.

 

"Sunspot" ist in den Comic-Vorlagen der Sohn eines wohlhabenden mexikanischen Geschäftsmannes, der ihn immer wieder zu Höchleistungen angetrieben hat. Als Dreizehnjähriger transformiert sich der Mutant erstmals während eines Fußballspiels in sein Alter Ego, nachdem es zu körperlichen Auseinandersetzungen gekommen ist. Fortan ist es ihm möglich, Sonnenenergie zu absorbieren, zu fliegen und Hitzewellen sowie Solar-Plasma zu verschießen.

 

Nachdem Stars wie Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender und Jennifer Lawrence schon länger feststehen, zählt nun auch Canto zum Cast. Am 17. Ich hoffe es nicht. Wäre die erste Singer'sche Comicverfilmung, die nicht sehr gut ist.

Fox macht wohl nen X-Men-Spin-Off

 

Yesterday, it was reported that 20th Century Fox is working on an X-Men spin-off focusing on the X-Force team. The studio registered a domain name three months ago, strongly suggesting the movie's development. Now, the film already has a writer and potential director. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jeff Wadlow (who most recently wrote and directed Kick Ass 2, which hits theaters August 16th) has been hired to pen the adaptation, "with an eye to direct." Longtime franchise producer Lauren Shuller Donner is also on board X-Force. Wadlow is also writing Columbia's adaptation of the Valiant comic book Bloodshot. Fox is expected to officially announce X-Force (and other X-Men related projects) at San Diego Comic-Con next week.

Marc Webb has been talking about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in advance of Fox’s panel at Comic-Con, with the director revealing a little more about what we can expect from the film’s villains.

“There won’t be any Rhino in that footage because there's too much work to be done there,” said Webb, ahead of the film’s Comic-Con preview, “but listen, Electro is the main villain.”

“Rhino sort of makes a teasing appearance in the film in a very calculated and careful way, but the main villain in this movie is Electro and you get a real sense of the power and magnitude of that villain.”

“Electro to me was somebody I was always curious about, because he's inherently cinematic. There is something terrifying and God-like about Electro. He is elemental in the way that Poseidon or Zeus is.”

“You feel a sense of bigness about him,” continues the director. “He's somebody who just his touch has the power of a thousand third rails and will obliterate anybody near him. I think it's incredibly exciting to play with that kind of power.”

“Spider-Man's greatest weapon is that web and when he shoots a web at Electro, there's a current and webs are conductive and that's going to pose some real issues for Spider-Man…”

We’ll hope to see a little more of what he can do, when Fox debuts some footage from the film later in the fest. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in the UK on 18 April 2014.
