Auf meiner Wunschliste sind erweiterte Versionen bzw. Scorealben von THE GRINCH (James Horner), THE POLAR EXPRESS (Alan Silvestri), FUNNY FARM (Elmer Bernstein) und CHRISTMAS VACATION (Angelo Badalamenti).

Die Nachrichten zu den Vinyl-Veröffentlichungen von Intrada und La-La Land Records findet sich nun im Thema Ab 2015 auch bei Intrada und La-La Land Records Vinyl.

Bei La-La Land Records sind mind. 3 weitere STAR TREK-Veröffentlichungen in der Pipeline:

 

Star Trek: The Next Generation Collection - Volume 2 is due for next year, a long-awaited follow-up to their 2011 TNG release.
Star Trek: Voyager Collection is also in the works for 2015, expanding La-La Land's Trek offerings into the Delta Quadrant.
Star Trek: Enterprise Collection - Volume 2 is expected around this time next winter and offer more music from the 22nd Century.

Neuigkeiten von Music On Vinyl:

 

 

A trio of recent soundtracks are coming to vinyl, courtesy of Music On Vinyl. The first is Johann Johannsson’s work on The Theory Of Everything, which will be a double LP, pressed on transparent 180-gram wax (limited to 1,000). It’s then packaged in a gatefold jacket.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Desplat’s work on The Imitation Game is also being pressed. The single LP will be on red and white mixed 180-gram vinyl, limited to 750 copies.

And finally, The Book Of Life, by Gustavo Santaolalla, is being pressed in a double LP on orange and yellow mixed 180-gram vinyl. The colored run is limited to 500 copies.

Für meine Ohren ist seine Musik eintönig und nicht Themen bezogen. Nach einer weile klingt alles gleich.

Ja das war Bermans Anweisung. Aber Komponisten wie Chattaway oder Ron Jones haben dennoch abwechslungsreichere Musik mit Episoden internen Themen geschrieben. Ab ENT konnten die Komponisten freier arbeiten und deshalb gibts dort sehr viel gute Musik.

Nemesis von Albert Pyun?. Teil 1 - 4 (oder gabs mehr?) Fand ich damals schon nahezu unguckbar und hab keinerlei Erinnerung mehr an die Musik. vermutlich aber Syntheziser. Werd mal in die Sound Clips reinhören

Happy New Year, Soundtrack Enthusiasts!

 

2014 was another spectacular year at the triple L. We celebrated Batman’s 75th birthday in style with a number of soundtrack releases. We got to cross David Arnold’s score to SHAFT and John Morris’ score to THE IN-LAWS off our personal HOLY GRAIL list. We had the honor of working with Mr Elfman on a number of projects – new and old, as well as work with Mr. Debney on not only LAIR but the 10th Anniversary Edition of THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST. Even more exciting is the work we did with a number of up and coming composers like Freddie Wiedmann, Joe Kraemer and some guy named John Williams (I hear THIS guy is going places).

 

As we say farewell to 2014 we look ahead to 2015 and beyond. As the New Year approaches we have decided to dip our toes into the exciting new waters known as VINYL (as the kids are calling it these days). A number of limited edition releases are planned this year for the LP market starting off with ALTERED STATES and then boldly going forth into strange new worlds…

 

Jerry, Michael, John and James will be finding their ways back into our catalog in the New Year along with some fresh faces as well. Some of you doubting THOMAS’ may reMARK that this passage is WAXing poetically on upcoming titles, but we are quite SHORE and BARRY confident of our slate of releases coming out in 2015…Mancini.

And what would be a year at La-La Land without some Trek and DC Animated scores?

2015 marks a lot of very cool anniversaries as well. Some from the world of TV and some from the world of Films. We plan on celebrating those in style – including some box sets.

Ich will ja nicht zu große Gerüchte in die Welt setzen,aber irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl,als wenn sich bei Varese in Sachen "Air Force One" was tut.

Zumindest konnte ich grade im Gesichtsbuch lesen,das man im Varese Studio ein riesen großes Plakat von Air Force One aufgestellt hat.

Das gute Stück wird mit einem Autogramm von Goldsmith geschmückt.

 

Keine Ahnung...aber dat Dingen steht nicht umsonst da.

I'm guessing so, too. One is the premiere of an IMAX score featuring a big orchestral sci-fi adventure score.

The other is a 2-CD set featuring two scores for the same film from the 90s. One used, the other not so much. Unused score is stunning, but wasn't the angle the filmmakers were looking for.
